One pan, ten ways to cook: meet our most versatile pan ever

It usually starts with one frying pan. Then you need a saucepan, followed by a casserole dish – and before you know it, you’re switching between three different cooking methods and the washing-up pile has taken on a life of its own.

Sound familiar?

That’s exactly the sort of kitchen conundrum our new stainless-steel Lakeland Only Pan Tri-Ply Pro was designed to solve. It cooks in ten different ways, works on the hob and in the oven, and comes with the accessories you need to steam, simmer, fry, roast and much more.

One pan that can take dinner from the first sizzle to the final spoonful? Now that’s our kind of cooking.

From quick suppers to Sunday roasts

This is the sort of pan that can end up doing something different every night. One evening it might be used for sizzling sausages for a speedy supper; the next, for gently simmering a curry or roasting something comforting for Sunday lunch.

You can start by softening onions on the hob, add the rest of your ingredients, then let everything gently simmer away under the lid. Or move the whole pan into the oven when dinner needs a golden, bubbling finish. No swapping pans halfway through, and no extra dishes waiting by the sink.

That means less juggling while you cook and less washing-up afterwards – so getting dinner on the table feels that bit easier.

One pan, ten ways to cook

This clever pan can tackle ten different cooking methods, so it’s ready for almost anything you feel like making:

  1. Bake – from fluffy frittatas to fruit-topped puddings.
  2. Grill – finish dishes under the grill for crispy cheese and golden toppings.
  3. Roast – brown ingredients on the hob, then transfer them straight to the oven.
  4. Steam – use the included stainless-steel steamer basket for vegetables, fish or dumplings.
  5. Simmer – ideal for gently bubbling sauces, soups, curries and casseroles.
  6. Pan-fry – cook eggs, fish, meat or vegetables with less worry about sticking.
  7. Boil – perfect for pasta, potatoes, rice and everyday vegetables.
  8. Sauté – soften onions, brown mushrooms or build the base of a one-pan meal.
  9. Stir-fry – the roomy 26cm pan gives you plenty of space to keep noodles, veg and other ingredients moving.
  10. Braise – brown food first, add liquid and let it cook slowly until beautifully tender.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner or something sweet afterwards – it’s the sort of pan that can stay busy all day.

What makes the stainless-steel Only Pan different?

We already love our colourful Only Pans. They’re clever, cheerful eight-way multitaskers, and they’re now available in even more lovely colours to suit your kitchen.

But we wanted to see what would happen if we took the Only Pan idea a little further.

The stainless-steel Lakeland Only Pan Tri-Ply Pro adds even more ways to cook, thanks to its oven-safe stainless-steel design. It can go into the oven up to 200°C, so baking, roasting and grilling join the usual simmering, frying, steaming and more.

That means you can brown sausages or chicken on the hob, add the rest of your ingredients and move the whole lot into the oven to finish. Frittatas, gratins, shakshuka, fruit cobblers – they can all go from hob to oven in the same pan, with one less dish to wash afterwards.

Three reasons you’ll keep reaching for the new Only Pan

1. Tri-ply helps heat spread evenly

There’s more going on beneath that shiny stainless-steel surface than you might think. The pan has an aluminium core sandwiched between layers of stainless steel, helping heat spread quickly and evenly across the base and sides.

So, whether you’re softening onions, browning meat or letting a sauce gently simmer, you’re less likely to have one patch racing ahead while another catches up. And the stainless-steel exterior feels sturdy enough for the kind of cooking you’ll do every week.

2. It’s oven-safe up to 200°C

This is where a lot of those extra cooking possibilities come from.

Brown your ingredients on the hob, then move the pan straight into the oven to bake, roast or grill. There’s no need to transfer everything into an oven dish, so all those lovely cooking juices stay exactly where you want them – and there’s one less thing to wash.

3. Stainless steel meets ceramic non-stick

Inside, the PFAS-free ceramic non-stick helps food release easily, while the stainless-steel exterior gives the pan a strong, solid feel. So you get the ease of non-stick cooking and cleaning, with the durability of stainless steel.

The textured cooking surface is made to stand up to regular use, even with metal utensils, while the ceramic coating makes serving up straightforward. And when dinner’s done, there’s less scrubbing to face (because the last thing you want after cooking is a mountain of washing-up).

Clever extras included

A pan that does this much needs a few useful extras, and these ones genuinely make cooking easier.

The stainless-steel steamer basket sits neatly inside for vegetables, fish, dumplings and anything else that benefits from a little steam. The domed stainless-steel lid keeps moisture in while soups, curries and casseroles bubble away, and there’s a silicone turner included so you can get cooking immediately.

At 26cm across with a generous 3-litre capacity, there’s plenty of room for family dinners without the pan feeling awkward to move around. It works on all hob types too, including induction, so there’s no need to rethink your kitchen set-up.

The pan that earns its cupboard space

From Monday-morning eggs to Sunday-night suppers, this is the sort of pan you’ll find yourself reaching for most days of the week.

With ten different ways to cook, the hardest part may simply be deciding what to make first.

And if the rest of your pans start wondering why they haven’t been invited to dinner lately, we’ll leave you to explain.
