Tea towels, oven gloves and aprons are used so often that they soon become part of the rhythm of the kitchen. Drying up, lifting hot trays and keeping clothes protected are all easier when the basics are close to hand.
Good kitchen textiles need to be practical first, but it is always nice when they look good enough to leave out too.
