However, when I tried to put one of them back together for storage I was unable to close the spring - the other one was fine. Lakeland 23cm Springform Cake Tin 1 "Disappointing" Mrs Mawson 14 May 2015 I bought two and the first time I used them, they worked beautifully. However, the second time, batter seeped out just under the mechanism. I thought it may have been due to the batter being very wet. Today I baked the same cake I baked the first time, but again batter seeped out, a bit more slowly, but still it leaked. I put some parchment paper under the pan and that helped. These did not do the job they were meant to do and I won't be using them again when I want to back a cake.
