Lakeland 2lb (900g) Loaf Tin

Product number: 70158

Making a 2lb (900g) loaf that rises perfectly to the occasion every time is easy with our fantastic quality non-stick tin.

Quality

Made from 1mm thick carbon steel – thicker than most you can buy – its durability will see you through loaf after loaf. And a double layer of Quantum 2 professional non-stick means you don’t have to worry about leaving half your loaf behind when you try to turn it out either.

Performance

We’ve added handy fill lines inside so you know exactly how much dough to put in for a tin-filling rise. Oven safe up to 240°C and with excellent heat distribution to ensure your loaf will be cooked through evenly, it also has large handles with sure-grip silicone inserts so getting it in and out of the oven is easy too. And when you’re done, it can go straight in the dishwasher.

Liners to fit this tin are available here.

No rolled edges

The rolled edges found on most bakeware introduce a difficult-to-dry space underneath the rim, and the edges themselves can be difficult to coat. We decided to leave the edges of our bakeware unrolled, removing the risk of water traps and uncoated carbon steel edges that might rust – making them completely dishwasher safe.

About the Lakeland Ovenware Range

Whatever you’re cooking or baking, you’ll find the right tin for the task in our Lakeland Ovenware range. Made from heavy-duty carbon steel with a Quantum 2 professional non-stick coating, they give a firm foundation to help your recipes turn out brilliantly. They’re dishwasher safe, durable and reliable, but it’s the extra little details we’ve added that sets them apart from the rest.

It’s practical improvements, like handy fill lines, making same-shaped pieces stack and adding pouring noses to our roasters, that makes our range outshine most others. We’ve also given our tins’ exteriors a lovely pearlescent finish so they look really special too. Because why shouldn’t your ovenware look as good as your roasts and bakes do?

"Really good loaf tin"

star star star star star

I really like the weight of this loaf tin, it’s robust and feels like it will last for years. Cleans really easily either in the sink or the dishwasher. I’ve had othe tins and trays in this range and they’ve all been very hard wearing.

"Not large enough for 2lb cake recipes"

star star star_border star_border star_border

This review is for an older version of this product

This is too small for any 2lb cake recipe I have come across. For example I just cooked the "Date & ginger malt loaf" recipe on BBC good food website, though with an extra egg white (though the eggs were medium rather than large, so not much difference really). I could not even fit all the mixture in the tin, let alone have space for rising, so I had extra left over for a microwave mug cake after filling to the brim. It overflowed quite a lot! It is good quality though, but I can't use it for what I wanted it for.

"Bakes a lovely loaf but sticks sometimes"

star star star star_border star_border

I’ve cooked at least 10 loaves in my 2lb Blue loaf tin. I was amazed at how easily the bread turns out of the tin. When it comes out, the bread really looks really professional. However, twice now the bread has stuck to the sides. Once, the bread broke in half before it would come out. The second time, I managed to prise the loaf away from the stuck bits with a silicone spatula. If I’m honest I’d be happy to get a replacement and see if it’s any better. Will update review if that happens.

"Excellent Loaf Tin"

star star star star star

Already had one of these but needed an additional one to be able to bake two cakes at the same time. It’s ideal for making cakes (I don’t do bread) of any description. Very well made and non stick although I do like to use cake liners but not essential. The right equipment makes it so much easier.

"Nice little tin"
