Lakeland Layer Cake 5pc Pan Set – 18cm Dia

I bought these to attempt to bake my first ever whole cake from scratch, a rainbow cake for my little girl's birthday. They were great, really good quality and very nicely packaged. So handy that on the back of the box it also comes with a rainbow cake recipe - I already had one that I was planning to use but I did make my buttercream by following the recipe on the box and it came out perfectly. Everyone said the cake was delicious and the layers were perfectly sized.

My granddaughters face said it all... She loved her rainbow cake. So easy to do when you have the right tools for the job. Just do what you do when you make cakes, grease tins (I also cut out baking parchment and grease in strips and place around tin, makes it easier to get out cake). Just make sure you have enough small mixing bowls to share out cake mixture in before adding what ever colours you like to each different bowl. Fab!

I bought these after trying to make a previous layer cake in ordinary tins. These are the perfect size, easy to handle - being lightweight and sturdy, plus they are stackable for easy storage. They washed and dried well and I look forward to making my next layer cake. I used them with the BakedIn Rainbow Cake mix to make a stunning birthday cake for my son. I shall try the recipe on the box next.

Desperately needed a set of round cake tins for making a layer cake and saw these Absolutely brilliant; lined the bottom with a bit of parchment and the cakes came right out. They were the perfect height and got a nice even bake. They cleaned really nicely as well. They were brilliant value for money and I would definitely recommend.

As per the instructions I used unsalted butter and baking parchment in each tin. The non-stick finish is of reasonable quality. The cakes were easily removed from the tins. After baking, the tins cleaned up easily. I would think that with reasonable care, these tins will come in handy for years to come.
