To help create a safer environment for everyone, our colleagues in our English stores are continuing to wear face coverings in store, and will still be giving each other, and our lovely customers, a bit of extra space. We’d encourage our customers to do the same wherever possible so everyone can enjoy their visit. All our stores in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will continue to follow the local government advice until restrictions are changed.
A message from Louise the store manager: If you're travelling to Lakeland in Northallerton for a specific product, please telephone us beforehand on 01609 777440 to check availability.
Northallerton is the County town of North Yorkshire, and sits just off the A1 nicely sandwiched between the North York Moors National Park to the East, and the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the West a perfect place to start an adventure in Herriot Country!
Northallerton is a busy market town with two markets a week, on Wednesday and Saturday, and once a month there is also a farmers market. Alongside the usual high street stores you would expect to see, Northallerton boasts a number of unique local stores, greengrocers and butchers.
Accessibility is excellent with road links, bus routes and train lines serving the town. There are 3 car parks ideally located for serving the High Street: Applegarth with 448 spaces; Crosby Road with 252 spaces, and the Hambleton Forum short stay (1 Hour) car park with 124 spaces so there is no excuse not to pop in and say Hello!
If you are travelling by bus, Northallerton has an excellent network of routes to local towns like Ripon, Thirsk, Catterick, Easingwold and Darlington, and other routes which link up a number of more outlying villages in both the Dales and the Moors. If you prefer to let the train take the strain, Northallerton is situated on the main East Coast line from London to Edinburgh, and the train station is approximately half a mile from the store, a pleasant stroll down a wide and elegant road into town.
You will find the store at the Post Office end of the High Street, next door but one to Argos. All of our products are located on one floor within the store, so access for wheel chair users and pushchairs is easy, and we are happy to store your purchases for you whilst you finish your shopping or treat yourself at Bettys Cafe Tearooms!
