Ingredients
- 300g fresh cranberries
- 1 zest and juice of orange
- 120g caster sugar
- 2 tbsp cointreau (optional)
Method

Place all of the ingredients into an ovenproof pan or casserole with a well fitting lid and cook alongside the tart case for a total of 25-30 minutes or until the fruits are softened.

Take from the oven, mash roughly with a fork then transfer to a pot or jar to save until Christmas. Makes a great Christmas gift.

Alternatively, the sauce can be made on the hob (simmer until fruits soften but be careful it doesn’t burn) or in the microwave for about 5 minutes on High power.
