Create hot chocolate heaven

There’s something about Christmas that makes hot chocolate seem like even more of a treat. Nothing beats coming in from the cold, popping a pair of fluffy socks on and warming your hands around a lovely mug of cocoa to give you the festive feels, especially if you’ve gone the extra mile with mini marshmallows, or pushed the boat out with a luxurious hot chocolate blend. Well, it is Christmas.
A new old favourite
Hot chocolate’s been around since Santa was a lad, but with all the new ways to enjoy a cup of the creamy, dreamy stuff, a hug in a mug has never been so exciting. We’ve found – and created – loads of deliciously fun new ways to get your chocolate fix.
Magic in a mug

Nobody can get enough of hot chocolate bombes, and there’s no wonder they’re so popular – the excitement of pouring warm milk over a chocolate orb, then watching as mini marshmallows burst forth and it transforms into a delicious hot chocolate… it makes us do a little happy dance every time.
Hot chocolate melts make brilliant stocking fillers too. In fact, in the last few years, you’ve completely cleared our shelves before Christmas, so make sure you don’t miss out.
We’ve got something for everyone this year; a dinosaur egg-shaped bombe for kids, a dark chocolate version, and even a popping candy bombe! When it comes to stocking fillers, our Rudolph melt is a firm favourite, and our Gonk shape melts in the form of Santa, a snowman and a reindeer are a welcome find in any Christmas Eve box.
Home-made melts make really thoughtful gifts, too, and are easier to do than you might think.
We’ve shown you how in our step-by-step guide. (Link to the update blog when it’s live.)
If you’ve never had a chocolate melt (there must still be someone?), here’s how the magic happens…

Variety is the spice of life

There’s 101 ways to enjoy a hot chocolate (we know, we’ve tried most of them), but everyone should have a really good tub of hot chocolate in the cupboard. When the cravings come, purists will be glad to have a tin of Charbonnel et Walker Drinking Chocolate to dive into. Made by appointment to the Queen, you might find it a bit too special to share…
Flavoured hot chocolate more your thing? We’ve got you covered, with a rich hot chocolate assortment, and a very giftable hot chocolate and toppings set full of honeycomb pieces, crushed candy cane, chopped hazelnuts and more, to bring you all the flavours of Christmas in a mug,
Time for some festive fun
If there’s one thing that makes hot chocolate even better, it’s a great big marshmallow, and we’ve combined the two to create chocolate-coated marshmallow bombes that melt in hot milk.
Room for a bit more chocolate?

If you know someone who’s a hot chocaholic (it might be us… it’s us.), we’ve made gift shopping really easy including our hot chocolate spoons.

It’s not just for drinking…
If by now you’ve got the impression that we’re really into hot chocolate, well, you’d be right. In fact, we like it so much, we went and created a recipe for our favourite drink in cake form. And it’s a thing of beauty, you can find it here. Happy baking!
