Heated airer accessories
There’s nothing worse than that musty smell your clothes get when you dry them indoors. And even if you do manage to get them on the radiators, they don’t dry properly and can easily crease. And not to mention what it means for your heating bills...
Fortunately, there is a solution for effective and efficient indoor drying that looks after your clothes and your household bills. If you’ve already discovered our Dry:Soon heated clothes airers you’ll know how good they are. But what you might not know is that you can accessorise them up for even better indoor drying. At Lakeland you’ll find some fantastic peg hangers, mesh shelves and heated airer covers for the best home drying experience going.
Why would you use a heated airer cover?
The short answer is that it will help your clothes dry even faster. All you need to do is simply slip it over the top of your Dry:Soon heated airer and the trapped heat will go to work and dry your clothes and laundry quicker.
The thoughtful design means you can unzip the front panel, roll it up, and tie it out of the way so you can get inside if you need to move your washing around. Made of light poly-cotton, it also lets the moisture evaporate away. And you can even machine wash it at 30° too.
Honestly when you start using a heated airer with a cover, you’ll wonder how you ever coped with drying clothes in your home before.
Perfect clothes pegs
Yes, our Dry:Soon heated airers are perfectly designed for wet weather drying when you simply can’t get the washing out on the line. But we know that sometimes those smaller items tend to slip off the bars. We’re talking baby socks and slinky things.
So, what’s the solution? Well, we’ve taken inspiration from outside drying and brought some classic pegs into the washing mix too. Our peg hangers wrap easily onto one of the heated bars, holding onto any slippery items to stop them from falling off. They also fit onto our Air Deluxe range too as well as traditional concertina-style airers. You can even use them on your washing line when the weather permits as there’s no chance of them blowing off even on a gusty day.
We’ve got options with six pegs and even up to as many as 30 pegs to fit around all your drying needs.
Create your own drying shelf
You can also adapt your heated airer with a mesh shelf too. Ideal for drying delicates and any small items that can fall through the bars, simply rest on the bars or pop neatly over the top to create a handy mesh shelf to hold all those important items safely in place – we all know how easy these little things are to lose in the laundry.
Our heated airers cost a matter of pennies to run. They’re much kinder to your clothes than tumble drying and much more efficient than hanging washing on your radiator to dry. But we also know that to get the best out of your home drying experience you need some versatility too. And with the range of accessories now you can have a heated airer with a cover, with pegs and with shelves to make indoor drying a dream.
