Easter Egg Moulds
Product number: 9239
This Easter, you can stay away from busy queues and overflowing shopping trolleys when you have these Large and Mini Easter Egg Moulds at your disposal. Don’t waste money on shop-bought sweeties with too much packaging, when you can make them just how you like them at home, and get really professional results.
Great to Give
Whether it’s dark, white or milk chocolate that tickles your fancy, the options are endless with these plastic moulds that come in two separates sizes, so you can mix and match your designs, or plan for different occasions. When it comes to Eastertime, you can have baskets of mini choccy eggs ready for any keen treasure hunts, or lovingly created full-sized beauties that look really professional to give as gifts.
Easy to Make
It’s so simple to put these together, you can even get the little ones involved. Simply melt your choice of chocolate – we’ve found the better the quality of chocolate, the better the results – and brush on a thin layer to each half of the large moulds, leaving to set in the fridge. Brush on three additional layers, allowing time to set for each repetition, before turning the eggs out from the clever casings and using a little chocolate around the edges to join the halves together. Leave to chill, and then if you or the children can’t resist, tuck in!
Fun to Decorate
It’s not just chocolate that goes into the making of these cuties. You can incorporate favourite treats to personalise them for different members of the family, or to surprise your friends. Whether you add a handful of sweeties to the glaze before it sets, or dust with gold or silver lustre as a finishing touch, we’re sure your loved ones will be thrilled with your efforts. You could also fill the eggs with surprises, whether that’s hiding a few mini eggs inside the larger one, or filling it with jellybeans. If you’re feeling particularly creative you could even pipe on the recipient’s name or a message, for the best way to say Happy Easter.

What's Included
Tempering Chocolate
To ensure your chocolatey treats have that professional-looking sheen and stay looking good for longer, you will need to temper your chocolate. This stops the cocoa fat from separating, preventing that dull grey ‘bloomed’ finish and meaning the chocolate shrinks slightly when set for an easy release from the mould. If you want to find out a bit more, see our handy Guide on Tempering Chocolate for budding chocolatiers.
Large egg moulds 13 x 18cm; makes eggs 9 x 13.5cm.
Small egg moulds 13.5 x 27cm; makes eggs 2 x 3cm.

I make a lot of chocolates and I was really disappointed in these moulds. I know they are plastic so they won't be as good as polycarbonate but they were really flimsy & not easy to use. The chocolate is really is really hard to get out of the big moulds without breaking them. I know they are cheap but I am disappointed with the quality
The moulds are stronger than they seem and are reusable. To prevent the chocolate getting stuck in the moulds we'd recommend tempering a good quality chocolate such as the Belgian cooking chocolate bars we sell. For the large eggs paint on 4 layers of chocolate and leave to set inbetween each layer in the fridge or freezer. For the small eggs use a teaspoon to fill to the top and leave to set in the freezer for about 20 minutes. The chocolate will then shrink slightly when set for an easy release from the mould.
I bought these molds to make my grandchildren's Easter eggs, I will not buy shop bought one's as they do not have Easter on the boxes
These moulds were so easy to use, I found the eggs came out of the moulds very easily (make sure they are really cold and properly set). To join the two halves of the big egg together I used my own method, I pared the edges so that they were vaguely level, then very gently heated a dry non-stick frying pan and placed the halves edge side down until the edges were slightly melted, then I could fill and simply join together without having to apply chocolate, this method ensures a flat and even seal with no gaps. The result was great, a really professional finish, and the mini eggs were so cute!
Love this product! My children have milkproteinallergy so I decided to order these moulds from Lakeland to make my own Easter eggs for the children. It was so easy, fun, and I got the most perfect big egg. Instead of adding more chocolate to glue them together I warmed up a baking tray in the oven and then melted the edges of both eggs just quickly before putting them together. That gave me a really nice result. I am very happy and looking forward to giving the eggs to my children this Easter. Thank you Lakeland for fast shipping, excellent service and for a great product!
