Whether you bake your own, buy artisan bread from a local bakery or enjoy a ready-to-toast sliced loaf, it can be tricky to find a home for fresh bread that doesn’t involve having a bulky bread bin taking up space on your countertop. This bespoke bread bag provides a custom-made place to store bread, so you don’t have to wrap and rewrap it in paper or plastic bags to try and keep it fresh.
Just pop your loaf, buns or bagels into the bread bag, make sure the drawstring’s pulled tight, and then store it wherever’s most convenient – in a kitchen cupboard, within easy reach of the toaster, out of the way in the pantry until you want it – you can even hang it up by its drawstring if you need to free up space.

Thanks to its polythene liner, this cleverly designed bag also helps to stop bread from drying out and going stale – ideal for home-made bread, or if you’ve bought a lovely crusty baguette or artisan loaf and want to enjoy them at their best, right down to the very last crust.
Pretty but practical design
In a neutral colourway with attractive line-drawn artisan loaves, the top is double-stitched to give it extra strength when you’re sliding the drawstring. The polycotton fabric outer is soft so there’s no problem fitting small baguettes, a plaited loaf, focaccia, ciabatta buns or bagels inside, while the polythene liner helps to keep any crumbs safely contained and protects the outer bag from any extra-crusty edges.

Great size. Holds a loaf plus buns etc. we use it in the Motorhome. Keeps bread fresher for longer. Bought to replace one from Lakeland that we’ve used for more than 10 years!
Bought this on the recommendation of a friend whose bread in always fresh. Eliminates the need for shelf space. Just hang on a hook.
I purchased this bag as I was going through so much greaseproof paper to keep my bread fresh. But bread sweats in the bag and causes it to go mouldy really quickly. I tried keeping the bag inside my bread bin, in the cupboard, even keeping it in the cold pantry, but nothing seems to stop the bread going so quickly. I think I will go back to the greaseproof paper that seemed to do the job and kept the bread fresher longer. I will say though I have purchased a lot of items from Lakeland and this is the first ever 1* that I have given.

For your crusty artisanal bread ? After one day in this ridiculous bag my bread was a soggy mess. IT IS JUST A POLYTHENE BAG !
This product is for keeping your bread from turning hard like a rock though so it should be keeping a certain amount of moisture in. You can always tie the bag more loosely if you prefer. However we’re very sorry to hear this if you bought it from one of our stores, then you can simply return it and they will be happy to help you. Please don’t forget to take your proof of purchase.
I brought this bag to store my homemade bread. However the loaf has mold growing on it within no time at all, despite the bread being completely cooled before being stored. I think this is down to the bag being plastic lined!
The bag is designed to keep loaves soft, without the plastic liner the bread would dry out. Homemade recipes can vary in moisture content, so you if want to keep it crusty and crunchy on the outside an unlined bag may be best.
