Large Hemisphere Cake Pan

Product number: 72423

Make an animal-themed cake or a Death Star to celebrate a birthday, a brain cake for Halloween, a cheery robin or Christmas pud-shaped cake for the festive season, or dream up your very own domed or 3D spherical masterpiece using the large hemisphere cake pan.

Say goodbye to precarious stacking and wobbly carving – this hemisphere tin makes reliably rounded cakes a doddle to achieve.

Made from tough anodised aluminium which has great heat distribution properties, each one is oven safe up to 230°C.

About the Hemisphere Cake Pan Range

Get perfectly smooth, domed cakes the easy way using our range of hemisphere baking pans. Great for professional-looking celebration cakes that any baker would be proud of – your cake comes out with a flat base and an evenly rounded shape each and every time.

Available in three sizes – small, medium and large – use individually to make a ladybird; mix and match the sizes to make bunny or hedgehog cakes, or bake two halves using the same-sized tin then sandwich them together to create a complete globe that lends itself to being decorated as a football, a planet, an owl or whatever novelty orb-shaped design takes your fancy.

"Fantastic tin"

star star star star star

I’ve had this tin for some time now and have used it so many times to bake cakes for family members, dragons, dinosaurs, cartoon characters, Rudolph, too many to mention, each time the cake pops out easily and is perfectly rounded , great buy. I use the recipe for the ladybird on the Lakeland blog- six eggs; takes longer than the recipe suggests in my oven though

"Cake disaster"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I brought this to make my son a death star themed birthday cake - it is NOT nonstick I followed all the instructions and was left with a broken mess.

support_agent A note from the team

This is made from a silver anodised material which needs to be greased. However, as with all silver anodised products the more you use it the better it becomes and eventually a natural non-stick patina will build up on the pan.

"Cake pan"

Recommend larger pan made a chocolate hedgehog cake which can be trimmed to shape with this size, granddaughter loved it

"Perfect sphere!"

My grand daughter requested a unicorn cake for her birthday, two half sphere cakes baked in my new tin, and sandwiched together with homemade raspberry jam, created the perfect sphere required for icing to a Lakeland design.

"Looking good! (After a bit of advice)"

star star star star star_border

I used the basis of Lakeland’s Unicorn cake recipe to make a football cake for my son’s birthday. I followed advice of reviews which helped. I made the full mix but had only one large pan so baked in 2 batches. This did not affect the quality of the mix. The first one I greased and cut greaseproof paper strips to put in a crisscross at he bottom of the pan, as 1 reviewer suggested but forgot to put them in! It stuck to the bottom but as I needed a flat base this worked out ok. The 2nd was better, came right out & I learned that after 1hr I0 put greaseproof paper on top & leave in until 1h25m
