Lakeland Giant Ice Cube Tray
Product number: 72241
Giant ice cubes aren’t just a conversation piece, they’re really practical, too. If you want your guests’ drinks to stay cool for longer – without getting diluted by melting ice – these over-sized blocks of ice are perfect as they melt much more slowly than standard sized cubes.
The Lakeland Giant Ice Cube Tray is made from flexible silicone which makes it much easier to get individual cubes out when you want them, and also has a sensible steel frame to keep the whole tray rigid as you take it to the freezer. Makes 8 giant cubes.

Love these cubes, they are big and stay in a drink for ages. The tray is good too it’s got a metal rim so it’s easy to carry and get the ice out.
Thought there had to be a way to avoid all the part-used cartons of pasata or whatever going mouldy in the fridge - this is it. Each cube is about 5cm square, and holds a little over 100ml. Could probably use it to make some fancy-looking dessert...
Not just for ice cubes! I originally bought this to freeze individual portions of homemade purées when my children were babies, for which it was the perfect portion size. Since then I have moved on to using it for freezing fruit compotes, pizza topping, pesto, tapenades, stock, sauces, leftovers… the list goes on and on! I freeze a tray load, and once hard I pop them out into a reusable freezer bag to store. Then when I want one I leave it to defrost overnight, or pop in the microwave. A convenient way to reduce waste and make home-cooked meal prep simple.
Love these silicone trays as they're a very good size ice cube and easy to get out. I store the ice in a separate box and put the tray in the cupboard when not in use, so it doesn't pick up strong flavours from the freezer (eg garlic butter).
