I bought this item at the weekend n having read the negative reviews would like to say By reading the product description before purchase I was fully aware it was for softer vegetables . Basic reading skill . Also the comments it is difficult to clean !! I remember Grandma waging clothing on the farm in a tub then using a mangle so if you think running this under a hot tap or put in dishwasher is hard we truelly are in a Nanny state go back to her days n tell me what hard work was . I’ve looked at this gadget on Lakeland’s website for ages and recently I finally bought one. It’s amazing. So easy to use and I’ve used it for chopping mushrooms, onions, celery, carrots, potatoes, cucumbers, even had a go at tomatoes (when using them with scrambled eggs in the morning). Okay, a bit slushy but it did the job. I love this chopper, great value for money, so easy to clean and highly recommended. What a time saver.
