This really useful meat thermometer can be left in a joint of meat to ensure your family roast is cooked to perfection.
Just set the timer and pop the display unit where you can see it, then insert the stainless steel probe into a thick part of the joint and pop it into the oven, closing the door over the cable. You’ll be able to read the display at any time without opening the oven door to lose precious heat and, when the joint is ready, the unit will beep to alert you.
You can choose to see the temperature display in Celsius or Fahrenheit and the dual-display also has a countdown timer so you can keep track of progress if you’re slow-cooking a cheaper cut. The freestanding screen will stand on a nearby worktop or attach magnetically to the front of your cooker.
Requires 1 x AAA battery.
Please note: not suitable for cookers without a soft door seal.

We have had this product for over two years and my husband uses it frequently so I was surprised to see such negative reviews. I did a lot of research prior to buying this and have been extremely happy with this.
Does a marvellous job at temperature measurement either stuck in the meat or just loose showing the oven temperature.
Just cooked a chicken with this oven probe and I was delighted with the result, please I purchased it.
This was perfect as the display is outside the oven , so i was able to keep a check on it without constantly opening the oven . past experience has shown me that sometimes the last little bit can take its time to reach temperature , resulting in constant opening of the oven to check , which obviously brings the temperature down which can prolong the cooking time .
Have had the thermometer for a couple of years it has been great until this evening when the probe wire caught fire in the pizza oven. I suggest all ovenware should come with a range of temperatures they are expected to work with written on the back for after the outer packaging is discarded.
