Comforting weight to help you relax

Weighted blankets, gravity blankets, heavy blankets, anxiety blankets, calming blankets… call them what you will, they all work in the same way. They imitate ‘Deep Pressure Touch Stimulation’ by applying a gentle, evenly distributed, soothing pressure on your body that can help calm you down, reduce feelings of anxiety, and help you drift off to sleep more easily. The kind of benefits you might get from a hug, in fact, only this blanket won’t complain that their arm’s going dead or that your hair’s in its face, and will carry on ‘hugging’ you for as long as you want.

Where and how to use it

If you’re a fan of relaxing on the sofa, it’s perfect for wrapping around you while you’re enjoying a good book or catching up on your favourite TV programme. Or you could leave it on your bed to snuggle under when you go to sleep – it’s designed to cover a double bed so it won’t hang over the edge. Wherever you most want or need to feel relaxed is where this blanket should find its home – and it’s not like it’s not portable, so you can always take it with you from living room to bedroom.

And though your other half might want to share it, you can legitimately, regretfully tell them that they’re designed to be used by one person at a time. So if they love it just as much as you do, they’ll have to (a) give it back! and (b) get their own.

Cleverly weighted to mould to your body

The inner blanket is weighted with quartz glass pellets that are padded with polyester so they move around silently while they’re moulding to your body – no irritating click-clacking here every time you shift position. It’s divided into custom-designed pockets with ComfortMould Technology, so the pellets stay in place and ensure the weight is evenly distributed across the blanket, rather than being heavier at one side than the other. And they’re encased in a breathable, 100% cotton outer shell, to help maintain a just-right temperature.

Removable quilted and cotton cover

The reversible outer cover is made from strokably soft, quilted grey minky fabric on one side and 100% white cotton on the other, and can be removed and popped in the washing machine at 30˚C if it needs freshening up.

What weight’s right?

Ideally, you should choose a blanket that’s 10% of your body weight. At 7kg, this one’s recommended for people who weigh 65-85kg (or 10 ¼ to 13 ¼ stone in old money), and we also sell a 5.5kg one if you need one that’s a bit lighter.
