Lakeland Electric Non-Stick Churro Maker Red

Just tried using my churro maker for the first time. Hopeless. Machine seems to do what its meant to but the recipe is all wrong. Made an extremely thick dough which the egg couldn't infiltrate. Eventually had to put it in the food processor to get it to mix. So thick it was very difficult to pipe. Result was hard, dry on the outside and doughy inside. Think there is far too much flour in the recipe. Threw the second half of the mix away. See from other reviews that I am not alone in having problems. Easier to go out and buy a bag of doughnuts!

We bought this on a whim summer 2022 to keep for our son for Christmas. He was delighted when he got it, but since then it has only been used a handful of times. The recipe just doesn't work. Churros are doughy on the inside, crisp on the outside, and the recipe only makes about 5 reasonable churros. I wish one of the reviewers that said they found a recipe that works could share it on here as this is clearly not up to scratch. I can't believe Lakeland have not worked on improving the recipe for this product, very disappointing.

I really wanted to love this but haven't been able to find a recipe that will work in it. The one included is way too doughy and others that require frying haven't worked either. I wouldn't recommend to friends and family unfortunately. Shame, as it was a surprise gift for my daughter who LOVES churros

This churros maker was easy to use and to clean. It seemed a bit slow to heat up and the indicator light did not go off as the instruction book said it would. It did, however. make good churros and the recipe booklet was easy to down load

Love this. Works well but had to devise own recipe as the one given was truly horrible and doughy. This definitely is a family favourite. 5 stars for the product - please amend the ingredients for churros
