I bought this to add some theatre to pancake making with the family. The maker is well made and functions well. The trays are made from solid non stick material. Here is the downside!! The maker is huge and if making full sized pancakes they are also extremely large. Yes, there is an option to make smaller pancakes but they are very small to roll. The wooden tools provided are clumsy to use and once there is pancake mix on the spatula it is difficult to use and flip the pancake. If I could I would return the item but sadly it has been used.

The first thing I want to say is that this is so easy to use and clean. Too many kitchen gadgets, whilst delivering good results, get unused because they're too difficult and messy to clean; this is not the case with this piece of kit. The pancakes were excellent, easy to make, tasting wonderful and will become a regular weekend staple in our house.

Wow! With in an hour of arriving at my house a perfect batch of pancakes had been made and eaten.So much easier and safer to use than the normal pan on the hob. Also a lot less oil is required therefore making the pancakes healthier!The only trouble being than you probably eat twice as many because they taste so good.A great product from Lakeland. Well worth the money.

The batter recipe that comes with the product was far more successful than the bought packet mix. I would suggest making plenty of batter initially until you get used to how the pancake and crepe maker heats up and the time you need to cook them and get used to using the crepe spreader - I have not made crepes before. The pancakes and crepes browned evenly, the product heats up quickly. The plates are non-stick and easy to clean. It is a good product and fun to use. I shall enjoy experimenting.
