The answer to all your pizza prayers, the Ooni Karu 16 makes outdoor cooking even more versatile and brings advanced technology to your pizza party. Offering multiple fuel options, you can use wood or coal for a more purist pizza experience and subtle wood-fired flavour, or if you prefer your pizza making to be a bit a cleaner and lower maintenance, you can opt for an Ooni Gas Burner (sold separately).
And thanks to the Karu 16’s new design features, you can make 16-inch pizzas while enjoying better temperature control, more fuel-efficient air flow, increased oven insulation and better visibility. With just 15 minutes of preheating, you’ll be cooking at 500°C, making flame-cooked pizzas in 60 seconds, perfectly seared steaks, grilled veggies and more.
Cooks 16” pizzas
Whether you’re cooking a family-sized pizza to share, or planning a whole one for yourself (we’re all thinking it…), the Karu 16 will cook a 16" pizza in just 60 seconds. This clever oven is designed with an easy-read built-in digital thermometer to ensure your pizza is cooked to perfection, and comes with an extra-thick Cordierite stone baking board that retains the heat needed for professional-quality-pizzas, and gets back up to heat again quickly. And if you fancy a change from pizza, the versatile Karu 16 cooks a wide variety of dishes, from fresh fish and grilled veggies to juicy steaks, and even loaves of bread.
Multi-fuel pizza oven for flexibility
For ultimate flexibility, the Karu 16 works with wood, charcoal or gas (gas burner sold separately). And you won’t need to use too much fuel at a time either, as the carbon steel shell with high temperature-resistant powder-coated finish offers improved insulation and weather resistance, making it a fuel-efficient way to cook your margherita.
With patented Flame Keeper technology to ensure even heat distribution while cooking, the Karu 16 needs just 15 minutes to reach a blazing 500°C, before turning your deliciously fresh dough into beautiful neapolitan-style pizza in next to no time.
Cooking control
The combination of the mounted digital thermometer and the fully adjustable air vent and chimney baffle gives you increased control over the cooking temperature to help you get things ‘just right’. As well as the air vent, a perforated fuel tray increases airflow, so any ash created during cooking will naturally fall away – so when it comes to cleaning your oven, you’ll be left with hardly any mess.
ViewFlame glass door
The full glass oven door with ViewFlame™ technology reduces soot build up, improves internal visibility and has increased insulation, while the hinged design makes accessing the inside of your Karu 16 oven a breeze.
Stable and non-slip
The Karu 16’s foldaway legs are specially designed to stay cool during use, and non-slip feet keep it reassuringly stable while you cook.
Not just for pizza
Although it's called a Pizza Oven, this is far from being a one-trick-wonder. We already know the Ooni product range cooks the best wood-fired pizzas - that's a given - but did you know you can also use it to cook everything from chicken thighs and salmon steaks to curries, calzones and cayenne-spiced shrimp? Talk about a versatile garden oven! There are plenty of other ways to use this adaptable outdoor oven, too. Ooni even make cast iron plates and pans so you can really get the most out of your oven.
