Opies Black Cherries with Luxardo Kirsch 460g
Product number: 63334
Hand-bottled and preserved in a light kirsch syrup, Opies’ Black Cherries with Luxardo Kirsch transform a simple bowl of ice cream into a magnificent dessert.
Made using the best plump black cherries that the orchards of Greece have to offer, this teensy-bit-tipsy fruit is amazing spooned over poached pears or thick, creamy yoghurt (Christmas morning breakfast, maybe?), and is a treat to be savoured with Opies almond rice pudding recipe that’s on the back of the label.
About Opies
Opies was founded in 1880 by Bennett Opie, a Cornish miner who travelled to London to supply Cornish eggs to London markets. As business took off, Bennett diversified into glace cherries (how exotic!), pickles and preserves. In 1929 the business moved to a new factory in Kent where its pickling techniques meant local people affectionately called them the 'Pickle People'. And although things have changed since Bennett’s days, the dedication to speciality, luxury foods hasn’t – we’ve been tickled pink with their lovely, liqueur-infused fruits!

These were brilliant I put them into some fruit loaves and folk said they were delicious.
A touch of luxury. These were bought, along with the peaches, for two gentlemen on their own, for a Christmas present - fruit, which is healthy, presented with that little bit extra! Hope they enjoy!
