Sized to fill three demitasse espresso cups and lovely to look at, this dainty 3-Cup Cafetière from Café Olé is just what’s needed to fill one mug for a coffee lover when it’s time for a pick-me-up. Made from clear glass with sleek chrome accents, its classy good looks will fit into any table setting.
Heat-resistant borosilicate glass
Specially made to withstand high temperatures, the clear borosilicate glass jug is tough enough to handle boiling water straight from the kettle, so making coffee is no problem at all. The clear glass jug sits snugly in a chromed steel ‘cage’ that’s designed in one piece to act as an integral trivet, holding the hot coffee jug off your tabletop to avoid scorching the surface.
Stainless steel filter mesh
The perforated plunger under the chromed lid is finished with a fine stainless steel mesh to ensure that once your coffee has brewed, you can depress the plunger and stop your coffee grounds getting into the cup by accident.
Heat-resistant handles

How to make coffee in a cafetière
Whether you know this style of coffee jug as a French press or a cafetière, the method for making delicious coffee is the same… pre-warming the jug (like a teapot) isn’t essential, but can help your brew stay warm for longer.
- Add ground coffee to taste – follow the directions on your coffee pack for quantity per cup if in doubt.
- Fill to the metal band with freshly boiled water and replace the lid with the stainless steel filter pulled up close to the lid.
- After 3-5 minutes of steeping time, press the plunger down slowly to trap the grounds at the bottom of the jug before pouring your coffee.
