"Seized bearing" star star_border star_border star_border star_border Within 2 years of owning this useful, easy to use machine, which has always done a good job, it failed to rotate when I tried to use it two days ago. I found the reason to be that the bearing has seized solid with rust! The bearing (surprisingly) is not stainless steel nor is the washer which retains it and therefore the unavoidable moisture content of all foodstuffs, even if "dried" as in herbs, has led to the said corrosion. The bearing is not of the rubber shielded type which would have helped to prevent the ingress of moisture and keep it's grease healthy. Made in Cheapland, but not cheap.
