Made from single-use coffee cups
The subtly textured body makes the cup easy to hold onto, while the specks of colour show off the story of its upcycled past... The recycled body of each rCUP has prevented at least six single-use coffee cups from going to landfill, and the contrasting teal lid is made from a mix of recycled and new polypropylene to create a super-smooth surface that’s easy to sip from.
Drink from any part of the rim
Brilliantly, its clever lid opens centrally under the domed ‘button’ so you can put your lips to any part of the rim to sip without having to hunt for the little drinking hole. And it can be opened or closed with the press of a finger, so you can enjoy and reseal your brew one-handed – perfect if your other hand is otherwise occupied holding a bag or strap-hanging on the Tube. And if you’ve stashed it in your coat pocket or handbag while you wrestle with tickets, you don’t have to worry about leakages – provided you’ve pressed it shut!
Double-walled
The thick, double-lined walls keep your drink warm for up to 90 minutes – hopefully long enough to get you from your front door or coffee shop to the office – so it’s perfect for the daily commute. For easy cleaning at the end of the day, rCUPs can be popped into the dishwasher.

The rCUP has been designed and made by ashortwalk, a British company that specialises in turning waste into useful new products. This cup is the best yet, very easy to clean, open lid seal, soak in hot soapy water and rinse. Never had a problem. Recommended to everyone, made out of recycled coffee cups so eco friendly.
Bought this to use in my camper, it’s perfect in every way apart from not being able to take the lid apart for cleaning. Advice is to clean in the dishwasher but I’m afraid my camper doesn’t have this luxury!
I like the design of the cup and lid but it doesn't keep my coffee warm for very long at all. I've had other cups which keep my drink warmer for longer and this is disappointing.

I loved the idea if this cup as so many spill their contents, however cleaning the lid has proved very difficult and after only a few uses I can no longer use it due to the smell coming from the lid. Very disappointed
Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear you're finding the lid difficult to clean and we've emailed to help further. It can be placed on a top shelf of a dishwasher, alternatively apply a mixed teaspoon of baking soda and water, leave for 20 minutes then rinse thoroughly. Our Lakeland narrow neck bottle cleaning brush product number 25874 would be a great brush to use. Thanks again for your feedback.
The lid design is very good BUT that is the only positive point. If you like all your hot liquids barely lukewarm after only half an hour on a hot Summer day despite preheating the vessel with boiling water before filling with your beverage this will be a perfect choice. Not a cheap item so very disappointing and I recommend you avoid this one!
