Lakeland Bean to Cup Filter Coffee Machine

Product number: 61784

As all coffee lovers know, there’s nothing quite like the tempting aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the morning… or any time of day for that matter! You can’t beat freshly ground coffee, and our sleek compact Bean To Cup Coffee Machine can offer you just that with its integrated grinder. But if you only have bags of ground coffee in the cupboard, worry not, as this coffee machine isn’t just a pretty face – it can handle beans and grounds, switching between the two functions at the touch of a button. With easy-to-use touchscreen settings, and variable size and strength controls, our Bean To Cup Coffee Machine allows you to create your perfect brew every time.

What’s in the box?

  • Bean to Cup Coffee Machine
  • Glass jug
  • Measuring spoon
  • Instructions

Built-in grinder and filter

There’s no denying that coffee made from freshly ground beans creates a superior flavour, making it a must for serious coffee drinkers. So forget having to grind your beans in a separate device every time you want a delicious (or necessary) caffeine fix – the integrated grinder in our coffee machine means you can enjoy freshly ground coffee without faff or fuss whenever the fancy takes you. Simply lift the lid, pop in your coffee beans, make sure there’s enough water in the tank at the side of the machine, switch on, select the coffee beans setting and let the machine do the rest!

Touchscreen controls

Not only does the touchscreen look smart, it’s incredibly easy to use too. Simply switch on and choose your desired settings:

  • Coffee bean/ground coffee: press this button to choose between ground coffee (the icon with the measuring spoon), coffee beans 1 (enough for 2 cups) and coffee beans 2 (enough for 4 cups).
  • Strong/light taste: press until your desired setting lights up – if you appreciate a lighter, more delicate coffee taste, select the light-coloured coffee cup icon; if you prefer a richer, more robust brew, select the dark coffee cup icon.
  • Keep warm: the keep warm function kicks in automatically once the brew cycle has finished, so if you get waylaid with kids/pets or any number of life’s distractions, your precious pot of coffee will remain nice and hot for an extra 30 minutes.

Each button has an LED light, which will activate when you make your selection – so you can clearly see what you’ve chosen.

Contemporary design

With its compact, almost space-age, pod-like design, this is a coffee machine you’ll be proud to have on display – it got an immediate and unanimous “ooh” in the office when we were first shown it! With chrome detailing and a sleek, shiny black finish, high-quality glass jug and pleasingly round edges, this machine will add instant style to your kitchen. Its small footprint also means it could fit snugly onto your bedside table, so you won’t even need to leave the bedroom for your morning coffee fix!

Anti-drip valve

There’s nothing more annoying than taking away your lovely fresh brew to later find a brown puddle beneath your machine from post coffee-making drips. The anti-drip valve will eradicate this problem, keeping your coffee machine and surface splash free.

Comes apart for easy cleaning

Both the grinder basket and filter are completely removable so you can keep them squeaky clean, with no awkward gymnastics required, while the wide opening of the jug makes it a doddle to wipe clean too, as you can fit your whole hand in!

As with all Lakeland electricals, it’s been tested, tested and tested again until we’re confident it’s more than up to the task, is covered by our 3-year guarantee for added reassurance, and is a great price too!

"Great little machine, but wish I’d spent more"

star star star star star_border

I saw this machine in store and was attracted by its neat looks, small footprint and value for money. It’s easy to set up and use, and makes two standard size cups of coffee or one very big mug. 5 stars for this. But I’m disappointed with the coffee; essentially, this is a filter machine which has the bonus of grinding beans. If that is what you want, then this is a good machine. But I wish I’d splashed out on a larger model. Easy to take apart to clean, but still a big of a phaff to do this for every cup of coffee.

"Great little machine"

Bought this machine to replace a older larger machine and it has proved to be a very good replaced. It took a week of experimenting to get the right mix if coffee beans/ water level/ setting to make a good cup of coffee but now constantly priding lovely coffee.

"Good coffee but messy to clean"

Given this as a birthday present and it makes lovely coffee, but the business of cleaning out the wet coffee grounds after each use would put me off buying it for anyone else. It may be one of those gadgets that ends up at the back of the cupboard.

support_agent A note from the team

Thank you for placing your review. We're sorry to hear of your disappointment and we'll be in touch to help. To clean the inside, you can remove the lid and the filter. To remove the grinder basket, you'll need to turn it anti clockwise and it'll release.

"I have bean impressed!"

Bought this for myself as a consolation for not being able to buy coffees on the high street during lockdowns. And though it is not a threat to baristas it is an excellent substitute, providing reasonably priced coffees and easy to use.The smell is fabulous and you can adjust the strength of the coffee with ease. I use it in conjunction with a Dualit milk frother and am very happy with the results. My only complaint would be that it needs a lot of care with cleaning. There is a small drain plug on the cylinder which disintegrated when I first cleaned it but it still functions well.

"Decent machine"

star star star star star_border

Early days yet but this stylish, compact and reassuringly solid little machine is easy to use and makes excellent coffee. Whilst you’re probably not considering this particular model if you don’t want to grind your own beans, the downside of the built in grinder is the clean up, whether you’ve ground your own beans or not; with no paper filter to contain the used grounds you have to be careful if kitchen chaos is to be avoided. That said, the machine is easy to take apart and reassemble, and its performance, looks and ease of use for me outweigh the slight cleaning faff.
