Lakeland Garment Steamer

This is the first garment steamer I have ever used, yes the water bottle isn’t very big but it’s compact so you wouldn’t expect it to be. I thought it steamed the creases out of shirts very well and was quite impressed. The only down side is the length of cable but not a big problem to use an extension. Looking forward to trying it on other items. F Thompson

This product did not remove ceases from clothes. Ironing much more effective. We would not recommend this product. Light text colour in instruction booklet difficult to read.

The item is quite large and weighted at the front. I would not say it was compact. The water tank is small and filling it is fiddly it has a tiny bung and hole for the water. The tank is black so you are unable to see water level. The flex cable is too short you will require extension cable. The device is easy to use. There is no continous use hold button. The red indicater light kept going on and off despite the tank being full. Steam output was intermittent. I managed two lightly creased cotten items before the tank emptied. Returning it, even occaisonal use I would be reluctant to use it.

for the size of the possible steaming area, clear cost has meant lakeand have compromised and added a small metal plate that barely conducts heat capable of steaming up a mirror never mind getting the creases out of clothes. Water tank is small and holds not even close to enough water to complete any task, you cant see how much water you have left and its so tricky to fill & assemble. I returned this and purchased an alternative, so much better and shows how good these products can be just not this one. Hope this saves others from wasting their money.

The Steamer made little to no difference to the various items I tested it on. It was heavy to hold for the length of time it took to make a good effort to get the result I was hoping for. The cable was quite short so I had to use an extension lead to reach the clothes that were hanging up for easier access to use the Steamer. It did not emit a lot of steam and seemed to run out of steam quickly. It was difficult to check if the water needed topping up as you could not see into the water container. I was disappointed in this Steamer and will not be using it again.
