"LAKELAND CORDLESS STEAM IRON" star star star star star Lovely product. Lightweight, easy to use, and like the auto turn off feature...just in case one of us forgets to turn it off!
"Very pleased with the quality." star star star star star_border I assumed that the iron wouldn’t stay very hot when cordless and so initially used it with the base attached - and was pleased with the results, as good as any previous iron. I then tried it cordless and was surprised when it was still hot and ironing after 4 minutes, taking only a few seconds to reheat ready for the next garment. It steams well and is comfortable to use. Thank you. support_agent A note from the team This review has been written by a myLakeland club member who received a free product sample from us, along with a request for their honest opinion, good or bad, because our customers' feedback is invaluable to us in building our range
"Lakeland Cordless Steam Iron Review" star star star star_border star_border I have never had a cordless iron before and was expecting it to be a really great way to iron. It looks good and is not too heavy but when using it in cordless mode it does lose heat quickly and this is frustrating. As the electric cord is not very long, using it with the cord is also frustrating. An extension cord would overcome this. Once filled with water, you have to make sure you close the water tank cover properly until it clicks shut; it's not a great seal. It doesn't use the water too quickly so perhaps half filling might be a good idea. It's a fair product for the price. support_agent A note from the team This review has been written by a myLakeland club member who received a free product sample from us, along with a request for their honest opinion, good or bad, because our customers' feedback is invaluable to us in building our range.
"This iron needs too frequent recharging." star star star_border star_border star_border This review is for an older version of this product I gave this iron 2 stars because it's light. For me that is the only positive. Having read the reviews, which I don't think were there when I purchased mine, I wouldn't have bought it. I've had it in my cupboard since I bought and used for the first time last week (my old iron was still functioning). I could not iron a shirt without having to return it to the stand to recharge. I iron dry clothes, rather than damp and found the steam ineffective on a cotton shirt. I think ironing bedding would be a laborious task having to recharge frequently and for dressmaking it would not be effective. support_agent A note from the team We’re sorry to hear of your disappointment and we’ve sent you an email to action a refund. As with all cordless irons it needs to be placed on the base regularly and for a long enough time for it to get hot again. It will then stay hot enough to iron a garment then will need to be returned to the base before starting the next.
"Not the Best" star star_border star_border star_border star_border Purchased iron this morning, followed instructions and then decided to iron. It doesn't stay hot longer than a couple of minutes and its not that hot in the first place so not taking creases out. So disappointed as I had a similar looking Lakeland corded no dials iron for many years which I bragged about to my friends, it was amazing. I'm afraid this iron will be going back to the shop which is a 45min drive away so not happy at all. I always thought Lakeland products were tried and tested before selling? This product would have no stars if I could. Lakeland you can do better than this. support_agent A note from the team As with all cordless irons it needs to be placed on the base regularly and for a long enough time for it to get hot again.
