I’ve used plastic dryer balls before but these are so much better : quieter than the plastic ones and more effective. Used 3 balls with duvets, sheets & pillow cases and it’s the first time I haven’t had to untangle the sheets. Fewer creases too. I think drying time has been about 10 mins less per load. Not noticed any smell/scent on them and no fluff as yet either.
Soft wool dryer balls help to keep the clothes items separate whilst in tumble dryer and they dry mor quickly.
Should have read the reviews. These balls do nothing - no faster drying, no softening of items such as towels. Also, noisy. Very disappointed.

I needed some new dryer balls to replace my plastic ones and thought these sounded ideal, as I was impressed by the reviews and liked the idea of them being eco friendly. However, my first thought was that they had a bit of a smell to them which was a bit off putting when mixing with your clothes but I hoped that would wear off. The main problem was that after a few times in the tumble dryer they started to shed fluff which wasn’t practical when it ended up on your clean washing. Therefore, I contacted Lakeland for a refund which they did with no problem.
These wool drying balls are fantastic. My towels have never felt so soft
