Dry:Soon Tri:Mode 3-Tier Heated Hub

Product number: 53359

If you've ever been in the market for a clothes dryer that is quicker than a clothes horse and quieter than a tumble dryer, you'll have come across our Dry:Soon Heated Airers. We first introduced our Dry:Soon Heated Airers over 15 years ago, and there have since been many pale imitations, but nothing that has ever come close to the real thing. And now, it's time to introduce our latest innovation in heated clothes airers: the Dry:Soon Tri:Mode Heated Hub.

The idea behind our Tri:Mode Heated Hub came from our curious and determined Buying team. They wanted to challenge themselves to create a heated airer that was better-looking and more space-savvy than anything else on the market – and, boy, did they knock it out the park. With three different drying modes to make the most out of your indoor space, and a smart, aesthetic appearance, the Dry:Soon Tri:Mode Heated Hub is the heated airer we've all been waiting for.

Three different drying modes:

  • Standard mode – In Standard mode, the Tri:Mode is a tower-like airer, with a relatively square footprint – a lot like our Dry:Soon Deluxe 3-Tier Heated Airer. This is a great mode if you're drying a full load of washing (or two) and want to keep your heated airer tucked into a corner.
  • Compact mode – If you're a little short on space, then the Compact mode allows you to fold down the heated shelves on one side of your airer, so you're only using half its capacity (meaning half the footprint vs. Standard mode). The great thing about Compact mode is that, although the bars are folded down on one side, they will still heat up. This means that, instead of lying horizontally, they can be used vertically, creating a wall of heat bars to hang your clothes on.
  • Wall mode – Here's where the real innovation kicks in. When using Wall mode, you can use both halves of the Tri:Mode side by side to create a wide, shallow heated clothes airer. This is a fantastic option for those who want to stand their Tri:Mode up against a wall to make use of its full drying capacity, without the inconvenience of a bulky airer with a square footprint.

Part of the furniture

Designed with style and efficiency in mind, the Tri:Mode Heated Hub won't look out of place in your kitchen or living room. With a smart, grey, made-to-fit cover, it's designed to blend in with the rest of your furniture so it can stay out on show, instead of being packed down and stored away if guests and visitors are due to come round.

What you get:

  • Dry:Soon Tri:Mode Heated Hub – The newest Lakeland indoor drying innovation, made to make your life easier. With three different drying modes and a smart, sleek appearance, there's no reason why you can't keep your Tri:Mode Heated Hub out on show all year round.
  • 2 x Laundry Baskets– Custom-designed to slot neatly underneath the bottom shelf of your Tri:Mode Heated Hub, the two laundry baskets help you make the most of your space. A quick and convenient way to switch the clothes on your airer, simply take the dry clothes off the airer, fold them and pop them in the baskets before adding your soggy clothes onto the heated bars.
  • Dry:Soon Tri:Mode Cover – The cover (or covers, as it technically comes as two separate pieces) is suitable for all three of the Tri:Mode's drying modes, thanks to the handy zipper that transforms the shape of the cover to fit whichever mode you're using. Mesh vents on the top and down the sides of the cover help the air to circulate for a quick and efficient drying process. Made from a stronger material compared to our previous Dry:Soon covers, it keeps its shape really well, and thanks to the versatile grey appearance, it'll look right at home in any room of the house.

Heat rises, but your energy bills don’t need to!

After extensive testing to find the most efficient way to dry your laundry, we worked out that the top shelf of our Tri:Mode Heated Hub doesn't need to be heated at all. This is great news for two reasons: 1) It saves precious energy without altering its ability to dry clothes quickly. And 2) It means we were able to design it with a detachable top part for added versatility, so you can easily make it shorter if you have less laundry to dry.

Digital controls

With an easy-to-read touchscreen control panel with three simple touch-buttons (on/off, timer and temperature), it's incredibly simple to use. And thanks to the remote control (which can be hidden out of sight in the secret pocket in the cover), you can control it from anywhere in the room.

8-hour timer and custom temperature control

Dry your clothes from anywhere between two and eight hours with the timer function. This is super convenient, as you don't need to remember to turn it off – simply set it to dry for your desired amount of time and it will switch itself off when the timer runs out. You can also control the temperature that your Heated Hub dries at, from 30° to 60° (in increments of 5°).

About Dry:Soon Heated Airers

When we introduced our first heated airer in 2008 we knew it was a winner, but we weren't prepared for just how quickly it would race to the top of the best sellers list or for how long it would stay there. Since then we've not only developed our Standard range but we've also introduced the Deluxe range too, including our Dry:Soon 3-Tier Deluxe Heated Airer and a selection of handy accessories to make them the best airers ever. Our Dry:Soon heated clothes airers cost pennies to run*, and with gently heated bars, they're a lot kinder to your clothes than using a tumble dryer.

Tri:Mode accessories (available separately) include:

"What a shame"

star star star_border star_border star_border

A fabulous idea - just not well executed! The wall mode is perfect for the space we have. BUT 1stly - I wasn’t really aware the top section isn’t heated - that piece of information wasnt obvious when I ordered. But heat rises I’m sure it’ll be fine. However 2ndly - this is where I am really disappointed…. The cover doesn’t extend around the back, so it doesn’t ‘trap’ the heat that our old dry soon does. Also I don’t really want water vapour all over my walls - it’s why we use a drier and not radiators!! As several reviews have mentioned this, how about a purchasable back panel?

After extensive testing to find the most efficient way to dry your laundry, we discovered that the top shelf of our Tri:Mode Heated Hub doesn't need to be heated at all. This is great news for two reasons; 1) It saves precious energy without altering its ability to dry clothes quickly and 2) it means we were able to design it with a detachable top section for added versatility. The top shelves are the perfect spot for drying your most delicate items too. The back isn’t of the cover is open for ventilation when used in wall mode. It also means that if it’s moved into traditional mode the cover can be left in place and doesn’t have to be removed. We're sorry to hear it didn't meet your expectations but can see that you've already been in touch so we can sort this for you

"Cover"

star star star star star_border

Not happy that the cover does not cover the back in wall mode, it just means all the heat will escape !! If it can be fully covered and work properly in other modes with no moisture problems why not this way, It has vents on the sides for circulation and evaporation. I'll hav to see what it's like cost wise to run? If not it will be going back unfortunately. LOVE THE DESIGN AND BUILD BUT NOT THE DESIGN OF THE COVER !!!

We offer a 3-year guarantee on every product. It means if you buy anything from us and you're not 100% satisfied, or if you decide it's not for you after all, you have plenty of time to return it for a full refund or replacement. The cover is open at the back when in wall mode to allow ventilation

"SO disappointed"

star star star_border star_border star_border

PROS: Stable, timer, temperature control, wall mode provides easy access CONS: • Flex woefully short, a problem when changing modes; have to unplug unit & move to another socket. In ‘cube’ mode, can’t position unit to access both sides through cover. One side access difficult due to the thick frame. • The cover is a FAIL. In wall mode, it does NOT cover the back. Mine is in front of window so heat not retained, & who wants water vapour against their wall?! Instructions are USELESS - 2 rods supplied - no idea where they go. • dark I’d return if I hadn’t needed to dispose of big boxes.

support_agent A note from the team

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear of your disappointment with the Tri:Mode. We've looked into this and the two rods go in the very top at the front of the cover, in the discreet channels. In regards to the cover, this is open at the back when in wall mode to allow ventilation. We can see you've since purchased a standard heated airer and we trust this will be more suitable for you. We've fed back all your comments and been in touch to offer a free collection.

"Versatile"

star star star star star_border

This airer is heavier than my previous models, but that does make it more stable. I love the fact that it doesn't have to be a square as this works better in my room. I was disappointed to find that the top of the airer doesn't heat up, a fact I only discovered on reading the instructions and whilst heat does indeed rise, the items on the top dry slower. Wish I'd known this before buying it. The covers were a bit of a struggle to attach and need to cover the back when in wall mode. So far I'm quite pleased with it, but need to try it in standard mode, to judge top row drying. Remote is handy.

"Great but a bit of a qc issues"

star star star star star_border

Firstly the outer box is awkward so be ready to either unbox outside or bring it into the house weirdly. Hopefully Lakeland will just release the base and other parts separately. I have a few dry soon products and when Lakeland released this one I needed to get. However a bit disappointed with the quality control of the item as its abit lacking. There is a few scrapes as well as paint chips/not pained correctly on the main frame. Apart from that having the ability to change the temp of the rails to different temps is great for different clothes that may get damaged at the default (high) temp.
