I bought this line about 3 years ago and it worked probably because not retracted now won't lock fine until it goes wrong.

It’s not always easy or convenient to dry your clothes on a conventional airer – they can take up a lot of room, which isn’t great if you’re short on space – so if you can get the laundry off the floor and up in the air, so much the better. This Pull-Out Indoor Washing Line fixes to the wall of your utility room, bathroom or garage, and has five 4-metre long lines attached to a little bar, which you can pull out and lock into place on the wall opposite. Then you just hang up your washing and, when it’s dry, the lines retract easily back into the wall unit.

"Badly designed, flimsy"

Agree with the other reviewer here, this is a really badly designed product, not happy. The lines sag, and at different lengths, so trying to pull it back doesn't work. Also not good for drying as the washing makes the ropes wet too. A pity as I've had to drill into my nice newly painted wall to put it up! Wouldn't recommend.

Very flimsy and insubstantial. The line lock doesn't 'lock' easily or well, it feels as if it is going to break at any time. I've put washing on the line, not realising it hasn't locked properly and the lines unravel. The lines stretch and sag under a light load of washing. I only use two lines because I fear my washing will end up on the floor. The wall hooks provided to put the extractable end end and the holes in the plastic end not big enough. I find I have to put equal weight on each of the lines because the plastic end of the lines will twist out of its wall hooks.

A replacement line was sent in 2 days. Have already got it up, was really easy last time a problem to stay up and hold washing .Thankyou Lakeland great service.
