"Sturdy… but could fold away better." star star star star star_border We use this to hang clothes after ironing - better than on curtain poles or door handles! It’s easy to build, and I’m pleased to see the building instructions are on the box rather than separate, to reduce packaging. Once built it is sturdy and holds up to 60 hangers, though that seems to be a bit crowded and I’m not sure it could hold all that weight. But it’s ample for the amount of ironing a family of 4 creates in a week. My only suggestion is to look at how it packs away. It does fold down but it doesn’t go “flat” and so storing it isn’t straightforward. But that’s a minor point. support_agent A note from the team This review has been written by a myLakeland club member who received a free product sample from us, along with a request for their honest opinion, good or bad, because our customers’ feedback is invaluable to us in building our range.
"Handy dryer" star star star star star_border I’ve been using this airer as additional drying space for clothes, you can fit a good amount of hanger on each arm and it’s very sturdy. I like that it folds away to a compact size and would easily fit behind a door or in an under stair cupboard intact it folds down enough that we said we would take it away camping with us next year. It looks very stylish and I like the fact that it’s easy to move around, I have used it both outside and inside. The only small downside I’d say is that the height difference between both sets of arms isn’t very big. support_agent A note from the team This review has been written by a myLakeland club member who received a free product sample from us, along with a request for their honest opinion, good or bad, because our customers' feedback is invaluable to us in building our range.
"Some design flaws" star star star star_border star_border Bought to replace a (now discontinued) Lakeland Hangaway airer which had given many years of service. This new design has plastic arms which are each held in place by a single metal rivet. I'm not too sure how long these will last. The two sets of arms are not separated by enough vertical height to enable the use of both sets for airing. The arms flail about when trying to store them.
"Not as good as the old Hangaway" star star star star_border star_border Not tall enough for two tiers; and not sturdy enough for your "folding smalls dryer" when fully laden with socks and knickers. My old Hangaway would take the equivalent weight without complaint, but with the new airer, the top tiers are already coming loose. You have to consider what people will use it for, and throughout the winter, I am sure I am not the only one who needs somewhere to dry 30 small items. support_agent A note from the team We want you to enjoy shopping at Lakeland, which is why, in addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 3-year guarantee on every product, so you can shop with complete confidence. "Hangaway disaster" star star star star_border star_border I bought this as they no longer do the original hang away. It is so irritating as it doesn’t stay up it keeps lowering down. The poles just shrinks down. Plus the two sets of arms are too near so you can’t hang on both sets of arms. I don’t recommend. support_agent A note from the team Thank you for your review.
