Move over radiators and tumble dryers: the Dry:Soon Drying Pod is in town to revolutionise your drying. Drying your clothes quickly, quietly and efficiently, the Dry:Soon Drying Pod means there's no need to drape your laundry over radiators or switch on your tumble dryer.
It works by blowing hot air through clothes on hangers to dry them gently, but quickly. We sold a version of this incredibly efficient electric clothes dryer a few years ago, but now we've developed it to make the job faster, quieter, and more efficient than ever.
Drying your clothes much faster than most electric clothes airers, and far more gentle on fabrics than the rough and tumble of a conventional tumble dryer, the Dry:Soon Drying Pod has a fan built into the base that heats air up to 70°C and blows it up into your clothes to dry them.
Perfect for shirts, blouses, linen clothes and delicate fabrics, but also great for thicker fabrics like jumpers and denim too, when we put it through its paces we found that lightweight fabrics dry in less than an hour, while jeans took around 2 hours. And while you might think that such an efficient fan would be noisy, it runs quietly and discreetly at less than 52 decibels.
Just pop your garments on hangers, hook them onto the rail at the top, fit the zip-fronted fabric cover around them, then switch it on. There's room for a dozen hangers inside and, because your clothes hang straight down while they dry, they'll have few creases, leaving you with very little, if any, ironing.
Most clothes airers are designed with utility rather than style in mind - but why shouldn't you have both? The retro-styled, tripod design of this lightweight aluminium Dry:Soon Drying Pod sets it apart from most airers - but it's not just about style. The three legs keep it really stable, while helping to keep the weight down, and the modern cover helps to speed up the drying process while also hiding your laundry.
The optional timer can be set for up to 3 hours, and will automatically switch the fan off when the time is up. And if you want to check on progress or just give something a quick blast you can switch it on and leave it running until things have dried to your satisfaction.
When we introduced our first heated clothes airer in 2008 we knew it was a winner, but we weren't prepared for just how quickly it would race to the top of the best-sellers list - or how long it would stay there. I’m loving this Drying Pod. It drys so quickly and no creases so less ironing. Don’t overload though as it will take longer to dry. Probably too small for a family but it is perfect for two.
Great item, dries clothes quickly as long as it isn’t overloaded. Does create a lot of condensation though so needs to be in a bathroom or a room where this won’t be an issue.
So pleased I bought this before it went out of stock. Such a small footprint when you don’t have much floor space. Powerful fan heater which dries small damp clothes quickly. Much cheaper to run than a tumble dryer at about 34p per hour. Do buy the smalls drying clip too as it’s ideal for drying underwear/socks.
As a mum to two small toddlers my washing basket is always full. I got mine so I wouldn’t have to put the heating on to help with the cost of living prices. I love it. Some things like jeans or thick jumpers after 3 hours the cuffs or pockets may still be a bit damp so I finish that off on my clothes dryer and usually they only need an hour and then they’re dry too. I stand my dry pod either by the back door with it open slightly or next to an open window to make sure no damp issues occur. But I love mine.
This product is amazing and if you don’t over load it dries your laundry quickly and heats the room also for only a a matter of pence per hour.
