"Bio oven cleaner" star star star star star A good product, cleaned my oven well and it has no toxic smell.
"Pleasantly surprised" star star star star star Bought some of this stuff to clean the oven today, the eco-friendly aspect being a draw. It wasn't massively grubby but there were a few baked on bits. What I found was a little if this stuff can go a fair way and produces some excellent results with a bit of elbow grease. The glass on the oven door is sparkling and most of the gunk inside the oven lifted off with minimal effort. I will have to go at the oven again to get it spotless, but I have no doubt it will produce a gleaming oven in the end.....and it is nowhere near as harmful to the skin as many other products.
"It works but...." star star star star star_border I chose this product because it is described as eco-friendly and non-toxic. It worked pretty well at cleaning my oven, especially the glass door, but the label states that it is harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. I'm not sure I would have bought it if I'd seen that, however maybe it's not as bad as some others. To be fair, Lakeland has published an image of the label but the manufacturer has put the information in fairly small print and sideways-on to the text describing the benefits of the product.
"Don't waste your money" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I used this hoping for a sparkling oven by the time i finished. Followed instructions and left it on longer as oven was particularly dirty but nothing. It's still dirty and the paste is difficult to remove and when using the oven it smells of the product. support_agent A note from the team We’re very sorry to hear this and will email shortly to sort a refund for you. Our buying and the supplier have stated that : Bio Oven Cleaning Paste is an abrasive but non-scratching paste formula that breaks down carbon and grease from oven interior including the glass panel. Warming up the oven to a low temperature, such as 80 degrees, and switching off once it has reached temperature, helps to soften carbon. We recommend doing this when cleaning any oven, but particularly with thick grease and carbon build up. You can apply the paste straight after heating, leave for a short while and scour using a stainless steel scourer or other abrasive but non-scratching cleaning tool. You can repeat this process if required, including heating the oven again, before rinsing clean with fresh water and a microfibre/soft cloth. The paste is fume & odour free, so as long as it is rinsed properly, there should be no smell from it after cleaning
