Bethlehem Advent Stable

I deliberated for a long time about spending this much on an advent calendar but I'm really glad I did. I wanted something that focused on the true meaning of Christmas and that we could reuse from year to year. I also wanted to be able to let the children have the much-wanted chocolate treats. This is perfect. The drawers are large enough for the nativity character and a treat and we're all looking forward to building up the scene. My only disappointment was that a shepherd's crook had snapped during delivery, but it looks easy to repair and the other characters appear sturdy.

I spent a long time deciding whether to buy this or go for something cheaper and buy little gifts. I'm so glad I chose this. Beautifully made. Real quality. Better value than many of the cheaper ones in that it will last and it is complete.

I am more than delighted with this. The true meaning of Christmas, my 3 year old Granddaughter was enchanted, only word for it. I gave her it last week ready for Advent and we had a lovely time unwrapping it and getting it ready. The detail is beautiful, all the little figures. Obviously it is not a toy, but for the price and the quality it is extremely good value for money.

With three young children I've been looking for an advent calendar that we can bring out every year and make a family tradition of. This fits the bill perfectly - it's beautiful and well made, and my eldest (3 year old) really enjoyed setting it up with me today. I love that it tells the traditional Christmas story, but also that there is enough room in the drawers to include a small chocolate if one day I decide to be a bit un-traditional! So pleased that I found it.

Bought this today, after missing out on it for the last two years, I finally decided to buy this. It is very pricey, but I think it's a definate keepsake for years to come, the figurines are well painted, as is the stable, and advent doors - a lovely nativity set - kids will love it.
