"Excellent for straining sloe gin!" star star star star star This review is for an older version of this product The elasticated top makes this the best I've bought: it works even without the stand I just hung it up from a hook and all the sloe gin dripped into a bowl The mesh is very fine too Brilliant
"Indispensible" star star star star star This review is for an older version of this product Indispensible when making jellies, ok so if the fruit is a little 'mushy' the jelly can be cloudy BUT just add a coffee filter, it takes a little longer (it's not a quick task anyway) but holds the filter nicely without it disintegrating, it's also great for straining fruit vinegars and home made fruit liqueurs, wouldn't be without mine
"Lateral thinking!" star star star star star I went into Lakeland looking for a muslin bag to contain the carcases of fowl to make stock - for all the flavour with no little bones! Pam showed me the muslin squares, which were a bit small, and then suggested the jelly bag. Brilliant idea! I bought the bag and removed the elastic. After putting in both a small chicken and a duck carcase, which went in with room to spare, I fastened the bag with Lakeland food quality string. Success! And I have washed the bag ready for reuse. Thank you Pam and thank you Lakeland.
"Replacement Jelly Bag" star star star star star Again I cannot rate this highly enough. I was unable to get replacement bags for my previous strainer so once it was worn out I had to throw it away. This is far more economical and the bags are so much stronger also.
"Replacement Jelly Bag" star star star star star Great product. Used for elderflower cordial. Separate out elderflower and lemons easily. Great product. Washed out easily and dried very quickly. Would recommend it to cordial makers. Thank you
