"Great for lunch boxes" star star star star star I've been using one of these in my son's lunchbox for nearly two years now. His juice is still cold at home time!! They don't freeze solid but still do the job - they must be better in a small insulated bag rather than a large cold box. They do the job I bought them for and are also brilliant for bad bumps and scrapes!!
"Mini Ice Packs" star star star star star I bought these to use in my cool bag when out shopping. They are lightweight, flexible and keep food cool until I get home. Perfect!
"Recommended for hot, sore feet!" star star star star star (Mine freeze solid at -18C in new freezer) Bought to wrap around elevated foot after bunion operation. Very carefully cut out each little section of one of the three to make six individual pads to use later when I get into normal shoes. They take my weight when hobbling around house. No splits yet, after 3 weeks. Just the thing in this heatwave! Obviously skin needs protection from direct contact with frozen pack. Very pleased.

"They DO work..." star star star star star ... when used with an insulated bag. We bought these along with an insulated sandwich bag. We used them all last summer to take lunch to the beach on the hottest days (in the UK anyway!), and our sandwiches and boxes of juice were still practically fridge-cold by lunchtime, 4-5 hours later. Use them to extend the length of time an insulated bag will keep things cool for. I can imagine that just put in a normal plastic box they won't stay frozen long at all - after all, they're not that big. But in an insulated bag or cool box they're great. The gel doesn't go solid when frozen so they're still pliable, unlike some other products that just turn into a block of ice.
