"Be really careful opening it as I’ve just cut my finger!" star star star star star_border There’s quite a few blades in it. Be really careful opening it as I’ve just cut my finger in two places. I was excited to receive it. It seems to work ok, but there is a danger element to it!
"Been looking for a while, so pleased to find them again" star star star star star I first had one of these many years ago, it was excellent but it wore out, as do all good gadgets. It was great to find them again, especially as our allotment means we have a lot of beans to slice. The trick to get the beans through is to hold them close to the cutter and feed them in a bit at a time. Its so very much easier than a kitchen knife! They wash easily and I keep them upright on a small jar on the worktop next to the knife block (two fit very well), so the blades get a chance to air properly.
"Just doesn't work. Very disappointed." star star_border star_border star_border star_border I just opened this newly arrived slicer with great excitement and rushed out to the garden to collect runner beans to slice. The device chops off the ends beautifully as promised but neither I nor husband with strong wrists could get a single bean through the slicer. We've tried with a smaller bean but still no good. They just keel over and break up. I have a photo to prove it if you'd like to see it. So disappointing. support_agent A note from the team Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear this didn’t work well for you and we’ve sent you an email to offer a refund. It can help to push it through the top a little so that you can get hold of it from underneath and then pull it through from the underneath.
"Brilliant gadget" star star star star star Really does work! Takes the nasty stringy bit off the sides of the bean at the same time as slicing it, so easy!
"Nifty little gadget" star star star star star I find this bean slicer very useful, it is easy to use and makes slicing runner beans much quicker than using a knife. I don't use the bit at the end to top and tail the beans as I find it easier to use scissors to snip the ends off.
