Panasonic Compact Bread Maker SD-PN100KXC

There's nothing better than the smell of freshly baked bread, filling the kitchen. With this clever little breadmaking machine from Panasonic, you can enjoy this aroma every single day.

Leave the elbow grease to the machine

With all that kneading, shaping and proving, there's no denying that bread making is a lot of hard work. So why not let a machine take care of that for you? Simply add your ingredients, switch it on and this bread maker will get straight to work. After mixing, it creates the perfect temperature for the dough to rise. Then when it's all proved, it's time for baking.

Clever breadmaking

As well as taking care of the basics, this model has a couple of extra-handy features too. Its dual temperature sensor can be switched to get the perfect results on different types of bread. And with the ingenious delay timer, you can set the machine to deliver its loaf at a set time. This means you can pop all your ingredients in before bed, set the timer, then wake up to a fresh, warm and crusty loaf. Magic.

A bread for everyone

Another excellent feature of this Panasonic bread maker is the range of built-in programmes, allowing you to create all different kinds of breads. Choose from a standard loaf, whole wheat, rich-and-buttery brioche, sweet-and-savoury raisin or soft and crusty French bread. When you're in a rush, the rapid setting will produce a loaf in no time. And with the three different gluten-free settings – cake, bread and pasta – no one has to miss out on a tasty treat from the bread maker.

The perfectly sized loaf

This model packs all these features and programmes into a compact frame – so it's ideal for couples, smaller families and smaller kitchens. Measuring in at roughly 25 x 30cm, it won't take up too much precious space on your countertop or in the cupboard.

Whether it's for toast, sandwiches or simply spreading with a generous layer of butter, you can't beat freshly baked bread. This appliance will bring a taste of the bakery direct to your kitchen.

"Machine great instructions missing recipes"

star star star star star

Previous breadmaker failed and had been buying bread that was a bit variable on quality so had been considering a new one when I spotted this new compact model, and a compact loaf is the only size it makes half the size of a large. For singles and couples a great size very limiting for families. Initially results were poor but my flour and yeast were past their best giving a small loaf with a tough crust but with new ingredients have made a Hovis loaf just as advertised. The instructions provided are incomplete

"Small is beatiful"

We are two weeks of using this great little bread maker and up to now every loaf has turned out perfect. I have made rolls too on the dough setting and it makes 6 rolls. The loaf that it makes is small but perfect for one or two people if you don’t eat a lot of bread each day, we like a slice or two for breakfast and maybe a sandwich for lunch and the size of the loaf produced is just right for that . I like a nice fresh loaf each day and this machine is perfect for that with no waste. Small enough to fit on worktop under cupboards. My old SD2550 has not been used since this arrived!

"A dandy little machine"

I have a full-sized bread maker (ancient but still working), but this little gem is perfect for just the two of us. So far every loaf has been excellent.

"A great addition to the kitchen"

I have a full size bread maker but find it heavy to lift so bought this mini version. I have been very impressed with both the white & wholemeal loaves . It is lacking in instructions but I contacted Panasonic & have the full operating instructions now. Hopefully Panasonic will upload that so it is clearer to find. There are only two of us but it’s so easy to make a loaf every couple of days & if family visit I find one loaf will just about do a sandwich lunch for 4. It’s lighter weight & size mean it’s not taking up too much workspace in the kitchen & can be easily put away.

"Very good Breadmaker"

I’ve had excellent results with this compact Breadmaker, but the Panasonic SD PN100 Recipes have the wrong ingredient amounts - join the FB group Panasonic bread maker UK Recipes & Technical for a large selection of SD PN100 recipes with correct ingredient amounts that give excellent results. You can make any type of loaf in this SD PN100 compact model including Granary, Spelt, Rye loaves as well as the standard loaves. The only type of loaf you can’t make is one with more than 50% Rye flour.
