"Don't waste your money" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I had previously bought the Belgium waffle mix so had high hopes for this. The batter did not look right once made up. Far too thick. I understand that it is meant to be like brownies but the waffles were far too dense and didn't particularly taste nice. Most of them went in the bin. I managed to make 6 waffles out of the full bag which makes them a bit on the expensive side too. support_agent A note from the team We’re sorry you didn’t like this.
"Useless mix. Doesn't work" star star_border star_border star_border star_border For starters it's a big bag and way more than you'd need unless you have 10+ to feed in one sitting. It can be resealed but the instructions only allow for amount of water to add based on whole bag. Tried halfling. Into the waffle maker and it doesn't rise, sticks, burns. Now the nice people managing the reviews here will say sorry and say one needs advice. Really? support_agent A note from the team We’re very sorry to hear this and will be in touch shortly to sort it for you The instructions state 250g, which is a quarter of the bag, to 230ml of water and 40g oil. the mix rises and cooks in around 3 minutes if you pre heat your machine. If you use spray oil or equivalent, this can cause non-stick plates to become less effective. You can use melted butter, whirl or margarine.
"Disappointment" star star_border star_border star_border star_border Having used the Belgium waffle mix, I decided to try this product. Definetely not made for the lakeland's waffle maker. Unlike Belgium waffle mix this was flat and raw no matter how long you let it be in the waffle maker. I tried using more/less water, nothing worked and extremely sweet for my taste. support_agent A note from the team We’re very sorry to hear this if you bought it from one of our stores, then you can simply return it and they will be happy to help you. "Such a disappointment" star star_border star_border star_border star_border We thought we were in for a treat because when you open the bag it smells good but for a start the mixture seems far too thick for waffles and when cooked it seems to be the wrong consistency and the taste is just sweet and not of chocolate. We had already tried the Belgian waffle mix and that was quite good. Perhaps it shouldn’t claim to be a waffle mix. Sorry Lakeland. support_agent A note from the team We’re very sorry to hear it didn't meet your expectations and will email shortly to help. It should be a thicker waffle as it’s a brownie waffle hybrid
