"hard to dispense" star star star_border star_border star_border It is proving hard to dispense properly. After the slow careful tearing at the perforations (once found) there is the frustrating job of untangling an impossible mass of clingy square. It is not the swift and easy dispensing of regular cling film. In addition it would be so much better to be able to dispense the desired length, less or slightly more, not stick to the measured squares. We tried doing this and immediately tore the cardboard perforations of the box. The idea of eco friendly cling film is good but this one is not for us as it is proving too difficult to use. support_agent A note from the team The box doesn't have a metal cutter so that it's fully recyclable in line with the eco credentials of the product, but we're sorry this proved difficult to use.
"Great idea!" star star star star star I was excited about helping to reduce the plastic we were using so knew I wanted to try this. I read the reviews so was prepared to overcome the inconvenience of the package not being stellar at cutting the film. With scissors at the ready, the film stuck well to the bowl and cutting was easy. Seems this compromise is a small price to pay.
"Such a pity" star star_border star_border star_border star_border Such a great idea, but I agree with all the comments about perforations being not fit for purpose. The film ends up tearing down the length rather than through the width and is REALLY annoying. "Disappointing product" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I can honestly say this is the worse cling film I have every used, it doesn't cut on the perforations in fact the box crushed on me while trying to tear it off, I even tried it with a pair of scissors the cling film just gathered together so I couldn't open it out to use. I did end up with a nice pile of cling film to add to the compost bin before it had even been used. "Very disappointing" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I was so glad when I read about this compostable cling film in the consumers association magazine, WHICH. I added TWO rolls to my Lakeland order but, Oh, the disappointment when it arrived. The box is very flimsy, so much so that I had to reinforce the sides with sellotape as they came away they from the front as I struggled to open the box. I understand the need not to have a metal serrated edge on the box but the one that is there is inadequate. I completely failed to get the actual film to tear at the perforations; it just tore anywhere it fancied!
