You just can’t beat a home-made box of chocolates – they’re so much more thoughtful than shop-bought – and it’s easy to make them with our 24 Chocolate Box Shapes Mould. Made of flexible silicone, this mould has 6 different shapes, just like the ones you get in selection boxes – swirly-topped, fluted-edge hearts, stars, squares and dimple-topped – and lets you create up to 24 fabulous home-made chocolates in one go.

Simply melt your chocolate and fill the mould to make solid chocolates. Or create filled chocolates by painting the insides of the moulds with layers of melted chocolate to make a shell, and allowing to set before adding your filling of choice – ganache, nuts, mousse or fruit, for example – and then filling the top with more chocolate to seal. Then simply pop out your home-made chocolates – job done!

Naturally easy release, the silicone mould is easy to wipe clean, or you can put it in your dishwasher on the top rack.

Tempering chocolate

If you want your chocolatey treats to have that professional-looking sheen, you’ll need to temper your chocolate. This stops the cocoa fat from separating, preventing that dull grey finish and meaning the chocolate shrinks slightly when set for an easy release from the mould.
