Lakeland Chocolate Bar Mould
Product number: 32435
You can’t beat a chocolatey treat… especially if you make your own. And it couldn’t be easier with this super-flexible silicone mould to help. It makes four mini bars, each with 18 little squares, just the right size for giving as gifts or keeping for yourself (you deserve a treat too). Producing excellent definition, once you’ve mastered the art, you can start experimenting with combining different colours of chocolate, or even adding dried fruit and nuts. Before you know it, you’ll be adding chocolatier to your job description.
Non-stick for easy release, the Lakeland Chocolate Bar Mould is easy to wipe clean, or you can put it in your dishwasher on the top rack. Job done.
Tempering chocolate
If you want your chocolatey treats to have that professional-looking sheen, you’ll need to temper your chocolate. This stops the cocoa fat from separating, preventing that dull grey finish and meaning the chocolate shrinks slightly when set for an easy release from the mould. If you want to find out a bit more, we wrote a handy guide on tempering chocolate for budding chocolatiers.

I bought this to make toffee and when it arrived it was a bit smaller than expected but worked perfectly well. A bigger size option would be good.
These are very cute once made up . I used tiny pieces of dried mango (scissors) cocoa nibs and a couple drops of vanilla extract. As with all things chocolate they didn’t last long and it’s amazing how many you can get through because you think it’s a small bar. Great for presents and very easy to use. I did freeze mine as l was cooking for a guest and they turned out lovely. Be sure to fill them to the brim or you will end up with just cubes.
I combined dark chocolate with flakes of Kendal mint cake. Excellent result and loved by the children
I haven't actually used this yet, but it feels fine, and I have no doubt it will perform well. The mould overall is 21x11.5x1.5cm (8 1/4" x 4 1/2" x 1/2"), an gives 4 bars approximately 9.5 x 4 x 0.8cm (3 3/4 x 1 9/16 x 5/16"). A good size for younger children.
