It might look like a simple black mesh, but we think this is set to be a real game changer for anyone with an induction hob.
Prevents scratches, scuffs and marks
If you’re shaking stir-fried food around in a wok or stirring a sauce a little enthusiastically, it’s easy to inadvertently damage the glass surface of an induction hob. Placing this liner over the top ensures the delicate surface is protected at all times, eliminating the risk of scuffs and scratches. And, of course, it means you can cook with pans that might not have a perfectly smooth-ground base, which means you can use your favourite cast iron casseroles and cooking pots on the stovetop after all.
Conductivity is maintained
We’ve thoroughly tested this protective sheet to ensure it causes no reduction in the efficiency of the magnetic contact, so you won’t notice any difference in the time it takes to cook your favourite dishes. The highly heat-resistant, woven mesh is coated with silicone so pans will stay securely in place above the induction element they’re on, while the liner itself will stay firmly in place on your hob too.
When not in use, the mat can be left in place to protect your hob from any unforeseen scratches that might happen when the shopping’s being unpacked or lunch boxes are tossed out of school bags. Can be cut to fit smaller hobs, so it’s great for caravans, motor homes and houseboats too.
Heat-resistant up to 250°C.

Please check your hob is induction and not a ceramic hob before ordering, as this product is only suitable for induction hobs.

I wish I’d bought this for a previous induction hob- it’s amazing. I slip it off between uses and polish up my hob with a soft cloth so it always looks pristine. I accidentally boiled dry a kettle on it last week and the protector survived - the kettle was in worse shape! Wonderful product - you must buy this if you want your hob to be scratch-free and looking as good as the day you bought it.

Take care of some of the reviews for this as some people have used it on ceramic and other hobs!!! This is for ##INDUCTION HOBS ONLY## Brilliant piece of kit. Protects my hob from scratches and doesnt mark the hob. Clean it every other day and it will stand you in good stead!!!
So glad I gave this a try,wouldn't be without it now leave it on all the time and just slide it up a bit when controls needed, absolutely brilliant.
It stays where it is put and allows us move pans around without scratches. Unfortunately like Mrs Matthews, 09 August 2022, I boiled a pan dry (I had thought the induction hob would prevent this by turning itself off?) and I now have the pattern marks on my hob. That hob appears to heat ok, but how do I get the marks off, they look burnt in. I let the hob cool down a bit and tried a damp cloth and then washing up liquid and a damp cloth - no luck. You suggested 'oven mate kit - 4972' which says it is for ovens. Is it really safe to use on my very-nearly-new induction hob?
Thank you for your review. We've checked and Oven Mate is what we'd recommend to use on induction hobs to clean any marks left.
