Hotpoint Milk Frother

Using induction technology, Hotpoint’s compact frother is a quick and simple way to make thick and foamy milk for luxurious café-style drinks.

There’s a really simple dial to choose one of the 4 settings – cold, frothed milk for the very best milkshakes; a toddler-friendly setting that warms their milk to a perfect 40°C; a 65°C setting to warm and froth milk for your morning latte or cappuccino; and an 85°C setting to heat and blend hot chocolate to dreamily smooth perfection.

The smart stainless steel jug has a 400ml working capacity if you’re heating milk, and 200ml if you’re frothing it, and it comes with two whisks – one for frothing and one for hot chocolate. Offering fast, even heating, there’s no risk of scalding and spoiling the milk, and it’s really simple to clean, as the jug, whisks and lid are all dishwasher safe.

"The Best!"

A Lakeland store assistant showed me the new Hotpoint HD line milk frother. It was exactly what I had been searching for. It is so easy to clean as you can put the jug part in the dishwasher. The two magnetic rings are large enough to clean and store easily. One ring is for creating froth, either cold or hot, which is amazing if you use fullcream milk as recommended. The other ring is for heating , and the machine can be set at different temperatures. This is a must-have piece of kitchen equipment and I shall be buying another for my daughter who loves frothy chocolate, cold or hot!

The first time I tried this, I was a bit disappointed, but then I took the trouble to read the instructions. I'd used too much milk. I then tried with the maximum recommended (the lower marker in the removable, dishwashable jug) using semi-skimmed milk. I set the frother to the highest temperature and hey presto - perfect frothy milk. I make the coffee using my pod machine and am now saving a fortune, not having to buy the pods with a creamer disc. I will be making hot chocolate very soon!

Having owned two nespresso aeroccinos and a different version, all of which burnt the milk (seems to be a common problem with the aeroccinos) and the different version dying after three months, my wife mentioned the Hotpoint. Not being a great fan of their washing machines I hesitated. I decided to do as I was told and we bought the Hotpoint. Seemed expensive but then the aeroccino is £60! Fantastic! No more burnt milk stuck to the bottom which is nigh impossible to remove, simple to clean and selective temperature. The only down side is it is not as quick as the others but can live with that.

This is the best milk frother ever!! The milk heats up to a good temperature I then refrothec it,the one I had before did not heat the milk up was very disappointing!!this is a must even though it's quite pricey, it is well built and feels as if it's money well spent!!time will tell,

Whilst this milk frother has a few different settings, we only really bought it for the hot milk froth setting for cappuccinos. It really doesn't froth well at all! Wouldn't recommend this one-disappointing!

Thanks for the feedback, I'm sorry to hear that you'd been disappointed with the results you'd had. For best results, when frothing milk it recommends you use full fat milk, use the toothed whisk for frothing and fill the container with no more than 200 ml (lower maximum level marking).
