The idea is good, the execution is dreadful. This item was a complete waste of money. The hole in the centre is too small and will only chop off the pointed end of a small or medium egg. But it's not a clean cut, it just slides around on the egg and then eventually crushes the end of it, leaving lots of broken shell embedded in the egg white. I have used it more than half a dozen times and I have never got a result like in your photo. It was expensive and no good for the job it is intended for. I'd have given it no stars at all if I could.

I agree entirely with the last review. It wouldn’t cut at all, I suspect the hole is too small then it completely flattened the egg leaving a huge mess and all the egg stuck to the shell. Don’t waste your money
