This kettle looks really good and we like it a lot. It’s fairly quick to boil. You need to press a button firmly to switch it on, so it may not suit anyone who is frail.
Love the look of this kettle, creates a talking point when in use. Easy to refill, quick to heat up. Handy being able to adjust the temperature when making delicate teas.
Quite heavy to lift. Button to open lid rather stiff, needs two hands. Button to turn kettle on very small.
Decent kettle with a couple of odd things. 1. Fill marking only on one side, so you need to fill left handed, if filled via a filter jug. 2. Quite heavy and needs to be lifted high to pour due to the spout design.
Fed up buying well respected kettle brands that usually fail just after the guarantee ends, mostly due to leaks wbere plastic joins glass. This Lakeland kettle is working well due to the water containing part being all glass (so no leaks and no microplastics!). The scale buildup on the glass is easy to wipe off then by adding just enough water (around 1/4 inch) to cover the raised sensor on the base, allows for a dash of vinegar, lemon or few grains of descaler to clean the base.
