"Unpacking and getting to know Searing Slow Cooker" star star star star star Having unpacked a well packaged product, I noticed some damage on the top lip of the Sear slow Cooker directly in line with the letters E and L of the name Lakeland. With the Searing Slow Cooker on worktop I found unit to be very stable, impressed with silicone seal around lid and most impressed with the locking lid handles. I found the control panel very difficult to read, this really should be either set at a angle from the bottom or hinged so that it could be pulled out to be readable. I had to lift unit up and at an angle to see what I was selecting on control panel. "Brilliant slow cooker" star star star star star Love the fact that you can sauté veg and sear meats in the pan, which saves on electricity and washing up. I have Cooked roast chicken, beef stew and chicken casseroles and every one has been delicious, with plenty left over to freeze for later. The locking lid is a very good feature, allowing you to lift the whole pan out for serving. Also, the non stick pan is very good and very easy to wash. It seems to be very well made, very easy to use and makes delicious meals. Agree it would be nice to have a few more recipes, but I have found lots on the different websites, which I am trying out.
"Easy to use!" star star star star star Bought this model to replace a Crock Pot which 'died' after sixteen months. Luckily, it was on offer at the time so I ordered in store and had it delivered. Well packaged, and came with a comprehensive set of instructions - unusual these days; everything seems to be online! Have used it at least once a week since I bought it, and I’m very pleased with the results. I especially like the 'proper' seal on the underside of the lid, and the fact that the lid can be locked in place. I also like the fact that the cooking pot has handles. Overall I strongly recommend this slow cooker.
"Good Family Size" star star star star star_border I agree with all the above review. As this is the first time of using a slow cooker I would have preferred more recipes. The pot has a good seal and suitable to transport. It is a substantial piece of quality equipment that is easy to use and suitable for a large family with the added facility of searing. I have no hesitation in recommending this Searing Slow Cooker. support_agent A note from the team This review has been written by a myLakeland club member who received a free product sample from us, along with a request for their honest opinion, good or bad, because our customers' feedback is invaluable to us in building our range.
"Overall - pretty good slow cooker" star star star star star_border Bonus points were the volume, the searing option & the rack inside. We cooked venison steaks and thought if anything, how well it cooked would give us a good indicator as to how well this slow cooker would perform. One big plus was that the smell of the cooking was contained so kitchen didn't stink of food whilst it was on! The controls are very easy to use & it's easy to clean. The slow cooker comes with an instruction manual with 3 recipes in. It would be nice if there was a few more recipes, possibly in a little booklet. Overall, we thought this was a good slow cooker. support_agent A note from the team This review has been written by a myLakeland club member who received a free product sample from us, along with a request for their honest opinion, good or bad, because our customers' feedback is invaluable to us in building our range.
