OXO Good Grips Mini Chopper

Product number: 27111

Sometimes we all need a helping hand in the kitchen. So when it comes to chopping fruit, veg, nuts and herbs into uniform slices quickly and for your salads, salsas, stir-fries and sauces, put away your knife and use this Mini Chopper from the clever folk at OXO Good Grips instead.

Chop, chop

It couldn’t be easier or safer to use. Load the catcher cup with your ingredients – there’s a handy measuring guide so you don’t overfill it – attach the blade section and pump the large, comfortable knob on top to rotate the super-sharp stainless steel blade to start chopping into the cup. You can even chop directly onto your chopping board if you remove the base of the catcher cup. The more you chop, the smaller the slices will be.

Easy to clean

Clean-up is simple too, as the whole thing comes apart and can go in your dishwasher.

"OXO mini chopper"

star star star star star

Great product I had the original oxo chopper and loved it but this is even better. Some years ago I was involved in a bad car accident and suffered a head injury and found basic cooking skills extremely difficult but with an oxo chopper preparation of a meal was made much easier. The new model is much easier to clean which was a slight problem with the original version . Dicing onions is now simple and it works well with seeds for example pumpkin seeds. Very pleased with purchase

"Great addition to the kitchen"

Why didn’t I buy one sooner? Such a useful kitchen tool quickly, finely chops onion without tears. Easy to dismantle and pop in the dishwasher. Chops nuts and herbs also to perfection . .

"Simple to use"

Bought this to replace broken electric chopper as saves electricity. Also comes completely apart to go into the dishwasher. Only deducted one star so that people might read review to warn them that not really suitable for anyone with a wrist problem as takes quite a bit of effort to pump up and down.

"Useful gadget"

Great for chopping onions , chillies and other soft veg. Have yet to try it on harder veg e.g. carrots. Downside is that you have to cut some veg into manageable pieces

"I dunno if it's me or what"

I was rather hoping for better. I don't know if it's how I'm using the chopper (I really don't know how I could use it any differently but...) but I find that there's more pulverising than chopping going on. I've tried everything from spring onions to nuts and it's pretty much the same. Plus there's the whole faff of cleaning it out. I have gone back to using a boring old knife. It's just far, far easier.
