"Great intro to slow cooking" star star star star star_border I had this as a Christmas gift, to accompany my new slow cooker. While it’s very early days, I find the book very appealing with its appetising photos of prepared dishes, and it is very comprehensive indeed! That leads me to my only criticism, if it is one, that I’d have liked a somewhat slimmer, introductory guide as a start point- perhaps like the previous Lakeland Slow Cooker recipe book (at about £5 I think). Easier to make a start with and then progress to the present more comprehensive version. Perhaps Lakeland could produce both? support_agent A note from the team thanks for your feedback, we'll make sure that your comments are passed on
"Interesting recipes" star star star star star_border Haven't had the chance to use this book yet. Bought it for our daughter but decided the recipes were rather too fancy for her and her young family, preferring a simpler version. Some of the recipes look quite interesting but would not recommend as a starter guide to using a slow cooker.
"Lovely book" star star star star star_border Bought this on a whim and it is full of lovely recipes, photos and advice. Highly recommended, beautifully produced and easy to follow. However - check your bookshelves! Years ago I bought a Hamlyn slow cooker recipe book and it is the same author, many of the same recipes and photos - it is even ‘advertised’ on the inner sleeve! Not Lakeland’s fault - and I didn’t ‘research’ (why would I?). It does have new recipes too. All in all, if you haven’t got the Hamlyn book, buy this one if you wish. I’ll probably gift it to someone !! Note to self - don’t dive in!!
