"Useless"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

Previously bought the lilac ones and they were excellent, I gave them to my friend a while ago as she had a problem with her wrists. I thought I would buy these to replace, however I wish I had not bothered , as no good at all. They are lying in my drawer and awaiting the bin now. First thing from Lakeland I have bought( and over the years I have bought a lot ) that I have to say is useless..

"Slip and slide, not grip"

Purchased for my elderly in laws. I kept one and posted one. When I tried it I found it of no use at all. My husband tried it. No success. A very disappointing purchase and wasted money posting it as an impromptu gift

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear the jar grippers didn't work well for you. You may wish to look at the Oxo jar opener (27387) as an alternative. We've been in touch via email to help further.

"They Don’t Grip"

These just don’t do the job of gripping. Years ago, I bought the purple ones which were okay but not the best. Please offer something which works for those of us with weak, arthritic hands. Grippers used to be made of rubber and I think the widespread change to silicone is the problem. I’ve tried cutting a piece of ‘Lakeland Slip A Grip’ as an alternative but it’s not much better.

"Great Grippers"

Work well for opening jars and bottles. Take up very little room so handy to have in a kitchen drawer.

"Helpful item"

I bought some of these from Lakeland a few years ago when they were a lilac/mauve sort of colour and thought they were great. Unfortunately, for some reason I decided to put them in the dishwasher and they came out a bit hard and didn’t work anymore. I bought a different make from a hardware shop which were smaller and useless so was pleased when I found these on Lakeland. However, although they are a help I don’t feel that they are quite as effective as the previous ones I bought from Lakeland as the grip doesn’t seem quite as good but I still find them very useful.
