Lakeland Large Fridge Store 4L

This really is a fabulous product. Keeps salads fresh for much longer than the salad drawer of my fridge. As there are only 2 in our family I will buy another for fruit storage as well.

Last summer I spent a kings fortune on Tupperware for exactly this job. They were useless and made no difference at all to the food. None. Last week I bought two of these knowing I could return them if need be. No way are Lakeland having these babies back. A bag of mixed leaves 5 days on are STILL as crispy as the day I bought them. I'm seriously debating whether I can fit another two of these in my fridge. Absolutely love them ......they work perfectly and they're 1/4 of the price of Tupperware Fridgesmart . Result! Thank you Lakeland

I chose the large fridge store to keep vegetables in good condition and it does this really well with it's ventilation and colander basket. It's capacity seems smaller than the 4L size - I can fit in smaller veg like sprouts and mushrooms with the divider in place. Larger veg like carrots or parsnips would need the divider to be removed. I couldn't fit in a cabbage or cauliflower without cutting it up. Overall it seems a pricey way to store veg but it does remove the need for single use plastic bags. It fits well in the fridge - goes between shelves and the door still closes which is good.

I was very pleased with the high quality of this product but was disappointed with the size. I was expecting a much bigger item. I think that if it was another 2 - 3 inches wider and longer, it would have been exactly what I wanted. However, it is very fit for purpose. You want the food items you purchase to keep in good condition for as long as possible and this will help extend their life. I believe for the larger family it would be of no help.
